How do I get the deal?

1. Choose to connect now with T‑Mobile or Sprint when you buy your iPhone from Apple
2. Trade in an iPhone X or newer (in good condition)
3. Authorize activation
4. Submit your promo code (which we'll send you via email) to promotions.t‑mobile.com

How does the trade-in credit work?

You'll receive two different trade-in credits — one from Apple and one from T‑Mobile/Sprint.

Apple trade-in credit
When you trade in with Apple, you'll get an estimated trade-in value. If you pay monthly, that value will be applied as an instant credit to lower your monthly payments. If you pay in full, your payment method will be credited after your trade-in is received.

T‑Mobile/Sprint trade-in credit

Verizon offered $700 for an Iphone XR. Granted it is a device credit spread out.
And I was able to keep my existing grandfathered plan.
I just got a $350 BYOD credit for starting a new line in my existing package. So only line cost gets added.
It was a decent deal, kind of like getting a 13 pro max for free for starting a new line with Verizon.
Assuming you stay for the full 36 months, it is a good deal.

Seems this promotion can't apply to business account just like previous BestBuy trade in.

"Your current T-Mobile account type isn't supported on apple.com."

Stunningly poor deal w/ 24 mo commitment. Miss the days of Costco/TMo $750 rebate on a $750 new iPhone after 3 mos of service.

As a long time Sprint - now T-Mobile customer, I am unaware of the Mother's Day special you are referring to. Was there a really noticeable price reduction during that sale, and did it cover all the newer models?

I'd really like to get a surprise upgrade for my adult daughter, preferably the bigger pro as she is a teaching professor and could likely use the extra real estate and 5G for on the fly work while away from home doing her on the side tutoring to make ends meet, but the cost is somewhat out of reach.

I can purchase through AAFES, the Navy exchange, or other military exchanges being a disabled vet, but it is rare to find much of a discount at them on Apple items, other than not having to pay sales tax.

Confused if switch to Magenta Max is required? Since it mentioned if you stay with another service plan, "you'll" qualify for $200 in credit.
