GreenPan sucks, it's the least durable pan I have ever used. I absolutely babied mine and it was sticky and worthless in a few months. The company sent me a replacement, I babied it even harder (no cooking sprays, never higher than 6 heat, no dishwasher, no abrasives, silicone utensils only, etc) and got the same results. Never again.

I noticed the thrift store has dozens of ruined nonstick pans but the stainless steel and cast iron pans were either good as new or could be with a bit of cleaning.
So not only is Teflon (and generic versions) manufacturing bad for human and environmental health, but then they only last a short time before being to be replaced with new pans that are damaging.

I only own 1 nonstick pan (a "granite" nonstick) and use it for scrambled eggs. Everything else is stainless steel or cast iron.

Isn't this brand the highest rated of this type of cookware?

These last like a year, even if you follow all their guidelines. That's the opposite of green.

Yes, for PFOA and PTFE free non stick pans they are award winning but not as good as PTFE pans (which are produced with the "forever chemicals" you hear on the news).

The Valencia Pro is America's Test Kitchen's winner and the Padova model is Consumer Reports winner.

Same as you - this is the granite one I have been using for a couple of years https://www.amazon.com/Sensarte-1...to_dp&th=1

Still I got the 8" GreenPan on this deal just as a back up for when I am cooking omelets for a group.

Bought from last Woot deal and they started rusting within a WEEK. Also the metal handle gets very hot. Woot was good about getting replacement immediately. Second set AGAIN started rusting within a week. The non stick works well, but as stated above they are garbage, sadly.

I have 3 new Greenpan Lima pans of various sizes and these things are awesome. My mother in law found them at Ross for $9 , $11 and $13 for the 8", 10" and 11" (I think, i actually think my largest one is bigger but whatever) and these things are sweet. If you forget to put oil on before dropping eggs it's not the end of the world. Will stick a little but nothing like my old pan. So easy to clean. Idk how someone said they hardly last a year I'm on about 10 months with not even a scratch and work like they're fresh out of the factory and my mother in law is at almost 2 years and they look brand new. Highly recommend these pans but check your local Ross for good deals too

I bought these from costco and Ross, and they do lose their non stick after about a year. They are also not very durable and will get scratched up even if you don't use non metal utensils. But while they work they are great.

Yes, but is it PTFE free? 🤔
