I logged into my Verizon FiOS account (via iOS app) and much to my surprise received an offer for an upgrade to 300/300 from 200/200 for the same monthly price of $39.99 and no change in terms (no contract with autopay). I am based in PA, US. The only hardline competition locally for me is Comcast Xfinity with some coverage for T-Mobile 5G broadband (which may be influencing the offer).

I did not receive a mailer either physically or electronically. This simply came up as an option when I clicked on Internet—>Upgrade my speed. Granted I had already been receiving speeds above 200/200 prior to the upgrade, but this formalizes it.

Autopay via bank account or debit card is required, at least for my account.

hmmm might downgrade from my $59.99/mo 400/400 to the 300/300 lol save $240/yr
400/400 is actually speed at 500/500, so they are quite different still.

Mine shows $20 less for 300/300 (currently have 400/400) and $5 more for 500/500. So wonder if its regional

But change from 200/200 to 300/300 actually did nothing in speed.

Worked for my moms account. Went from 200 to 300. Thanks!

It did not work on my account for gigabit. I am at $74.99, it offered $84.99.

So my house has an old ONT installed that doesnt even allow 100/100 so Im currently paying 39.99 for 50/50. I reached out to verizon twice for a free ONT upgrade to the latest one so that I can sign up for a higher speed plan. They installed the latest ONT for free on my previous house when fios was first coming in. Their response was that it's resident's cost to upgrade the freaking two decades old ONT even if I sign up for 200/200 plan. Is there anyone who was able to get verizon to upgrade the ONT at their cost? If so, what is the trick?

ahh poop well i did the thing, and now i no longer see the 400/400 for $59.99/mo option (that was the plan i was on), there's just 500/500 for $64.99, lame since it's basically paying $5/mo more for the same thing i previously had (although i guess if you're going by speed per cost, it's still sliiightly cheaper ($40/300mbps*500mbps=$66.67). i guess if my wife notices/complains we can cancel and she can sign back up :X

gigabit still shows as $89.99/mo though, not worth it (at least until we have kids and stuff)

Yeah I logged in - hit Upgrade and 300/300 for the same price I was paying before $39.99. Does anyone think this changes your commitment to terms with Verizon? Right now my current plan says "No Commitment Plan". Just worry doing this forces me to a two year agreement. I though Fios/Verizon was always no commitment - is this right?

They came out when my plan went from 75/75 to 100/100. I didn't pay a single fee - they did on their own.

Thanks OP! I was previously on the 200/200 plan.

I ran some speed tests before, and was getting around 220 up and 170 down. Hopefully I see an increase in speed after the account changes take effect.

Same here. I have 200/200, but my speeds have always been 300/300.
Do we know if 300/300 will now be 400? Anyone test yet?

I guess they just renamed it. Last year when I took the 200/200 mbps plan the Verizon installation person had told me that though the plan says 200/200, the actual speed given is 300/300 mbps. So it's basically the same. They have finally just changed the 200 to 300
Same. My "200Mbps" service has always run at 300Mbps. Not quite sure why but I never complained! Maybe was just a limitation of how they could throttle.

I am seeing no difference in actual speeds.

I wish I didnt do this, it may impact future promotions.

It's asking me to schedule an appointment for installation.

I already have fios 100mbps, and trying to upgrade to 300/300. Price shows that my new plan will be the same price as my current. But when I try to check out, I have to schedule an appointment for installation. Anyone know why?
