If it peeled, it's not actual leather. It's bonded leather, which is terrible stuff that doesn't last. You're better off with faux leather.

At this price, you'd be lucky to get a single top-grain leather chair, let alone 4 of them. This seems like a steal for brand new chairs, though if you're in a populated area, you might check FB marketplace for used options. There are a surprising number of people who put in theater seats, barely use them, and sell them a few years later for a fraction of new. I was able to get some really high-end, top-grain leather chairs that were lightly used for less than this.

Look at the reviews first before comparing it to your $50 Staples chair. They are mostly positive. Only negative about the actual leather is one that said it started to peel after 2 years of use, and the company was quick to respond to make it right, even after 2 years. Many reviews cite the quality of the faux leather and stitching as a positive.

You're not wrong about not calling, but let's be honest that because of the made-to-order component, this deal was dead out of the gates.

Most likely, but bringing it to their direct attention guarantees it. These days such a small number of price mistakes ship that it makes these offences even more egregious imo.

Ordered 2 sets in Grey. CC charged. Email confirmation says 4 per set. Expecting a cancellation. Looks like at least one rocket scientist here has already put in a call to Macy's....smh.

What exactly is the risk? Not returnable means you can't return simply because you don't like them. If they are defective in any way, they are returnable and/or replaceable. If you check the reviews, some customers received faulty chairs and all of them got shipped replacements. There's no risk here, unless you are buying them just to try them and see if you like them.
