Eligible users can then manually add the gift card to their mobile wallet by clicking "Add to Apple Wallet" or "Add to Google Wallet", pending device. Consumer can present the gift card via mobile wallet or screenshot at checkout to redeem.

Not sure if you are understanding this, but you get your barcode from the website and scan that at the register (it is basically a Walmart gift card just for the Nitro purchase) when you checkout. The barcode is saved in your Google Pay or Walletpass (or something - a Google Pay alternative).

So I believe this takes away 1.88 for anything correct? It'll work on any item not just the soda not sure if anything is left on gc afterwards ..???

You can do it online.

Was able to get a bar code once I saved it to google pay.

Near me they are selling for $1.98. Interesting to have things selling higher than the MSRP. Plus I've got the can deposit on top of that.

Attempted to use this in store with the coupon loaded in my apple wallet. Barcode scanned, however it wanted me to input a dollar amount, minimum $5 max $200. I tried several times with different amounts and it was declined. After talking to the checkout person, they couldn't get it to scan as a coupon, only as a reloadable gift card. It wanted me to put money on it, not take money off. Just be warry when trying to use this.
