Hack for getting 10% off
I ordered the 85inch QN90A and scheduled the delivery. I waited for the order to get confirmed and instead of trying to cancel the order (cancellation button doesn't show up after confirmation I guess). Below are the steps I followed. May be it might help a few folks.
Step 1: Contact support here https://www.samsung.com/us/suppor...-services/
Step 2: Choose "Something else" as the reason. You can also choose order modification.
Step 3: Chat with the representative and tell them you are thinking about cancelling the order since you are getting a better deal somewhere else or you are considering a different TV since they are offering a better deal. In my case, I told them that I am getting a great deal on the LG C1 OLED and highly considering cancelling the order.
Step 4: Representative might ask you to provide the details for the order. Give the order information and go through a verification process.
Step 5: Representative might come back and tell you they can offer a 10% discount up to $250 (at least for the 85 inch).
Step 6: Agree to the additional discount.
Step 7: Representative will create a ticket for you and give you a reference number. Make sure, you record this reference number. You will have to contact them again once the TV has been shipped.
Step 8: Ask the representative for the chat id and also send a transcript of the chat to your email. You can do that by clicking the 3 dots in the chat.
Step 9: Contact the representatives using the same link above once the TV order is shipped and give them the information they need. They might ask you for the ticket reference number or the chat id to show proof that the discount was promised to you.
Step 10: The representative will create a refund case for you and will say that the refund will be processed within 48 hours and it will be notified via email. You will have to wait for this email for confirmation.

The HDMI 2.1 port is separate from the eARC port so you won't be able to pass through HDMI 2.1 features from the receiver to your TV. HDMI 4 is the HDMI 2.1 port, and HDMI 3 is the eARC port. Hopefully that helps you out.

You have to have an educator/student account. It shows $2500 for me. I need a 75" which now shows at $2100. I imagine the price may drop further as we get to the March 28 date for the release of their 2022 models.

This, I am torn to buy now or wait. I've been waiting months already and my tv is starting to act funny and randomly turn off.... Decisions.

Edit, except I'm going 85" I would do 75" if it were much cheaper than the 85 though.

If anyone works with a company that has Passport Corporate, then you can also get the discount!!

Edit: Debated between 75" vs 65" in my new condo, went with the 75" for 2100$!

I'd buy the 85 immediately if I were you. I got it at $2969 last month and love it. Trying to get it price-matched but don't like my chances.

Man I would jump on this so fast if I wasn't moving across the country in 2 months.. this is a new low, isn't it? Samsung goes out of stock frequently with these so I'm not sure how much lower it will go.

Thank you, reading that just gave me the extra umph I needed and pulled the trigger. It'll be here next week! Even if it does drop down a few hundred it is what it is. Hopefully this one last a long time!

How difficult is it to return a TV to Samsung? Lol

Been waiting to upgrade. Been leaning toward Sony X90k (from 75" 900e), but damn if this price isn't tempting.

The lack of more than 1 2.1 HDMI bugged me at first, but I just upgraded to a Denon receiver that has multiple so I will just hook both game systems up to that.

Man this sucks because I love my Sony and really like their motion processing, but I am not so sure the 90k will compete with this. I don't want to have buyer's remorse! Ahhhhhhh

So I googled the shield didn't know what it was. Can you simply compare that to the xbox x for streaming?
