I struggle with all of these wireless routers on SD… I need a solid router, referb or new or whatever, that's reliable and high speed for streaming multi media devices and high definition media. What the heck do I buy? My budget is $250 top. 2200sqft coverage. Thanks ahead of time for the suggestions.

Not if his service isn't much faster. Your router isn't going to increase the speed you're paying for.

So this is $128 dollars lower than MSRP which does make it a very slick deal, unfortunately I cant find a lot of reviews on this and I never used it. One reviewer I saw on youtube liked it a lot, but speeds wise he was getting a little over 600Mbps just about everywhere in his 2 story home so coverage was pretty good, but for speed thats a little low for a middle to upper end router.

I have an Orbi RBK43 with 2 satellites, for 2 years my whole home coverage has never been better. There are newer and faster versions of these now, but my needs are same as yours covering approximately 20 devices including a security camera and video doorbell. Best router I've ever owned.
Additionally, it was an Amazon refurb so I had 90 days to like or return.

That is true, the user was using 1gig internet though so plenty of room and on average was topping out at 750Mbps.

Like I said very few reviews from any professionals on this so hard to judge.

750mbps of wifi is very fast, if you have mimo compatible device, not many devices on wifi/Internet, in the same room, and no interference you might get closer to advertised speeds..

I'm struggling to think of one good reason you would need that kind of speed though(esp if close to symmetrical), I mean onlyfans is a hosted service even.

If your Verizon ONT has a ethernet port that is active, yes it can.

this should be on the same tier as the Asus RT-AX82U or Netgear RAX48/50. all will fit your needs. the latter has been as low as $150 (less w/BB 10% recycling)

I'm no expert but I bought a tplink ax5400 for this price. I have a 2500 sq/ft ranch on 1 acre. It covers my whole house at almost my full speed, just under 500 up and down, as well as almost my whole yard with about 180 down (not tested up) at the far end of my back yard. 4 people who stream video, often from multiple devices at a time, but practically no smart devices, with no issues. Far better than the stock frontier router. I just run it thru the modem rather than the ONT, but may change that when I get around to it.

No complaints, it's been a HUGE upgrade.

Keep your old modem/router or any issue you have they will blame on your router and say they can't do anything...happened immediately after I got the tplink and had to hook the old one up to prove them wrong.

I'm using a 10 year old ASUS Dark Knight and it works fine in 3400 SQ FT. TVs, phones, 3 kids tablets, amazon fires, laptops, cantenna to uncle's house 800 feet away, etc. But I agree. it is terribly hard to know which way to go. I bought a new router for my mother and it was supposed to be decent and it is not. Doesn't even get a signal down the hallway worth a crap.

Asus AX86u. Asus is one of the few that keeps updating their firmware after some stop, especially better with you install Asus Merlin on it.
