Great price, but may have warranty issues with this retailer
OTW has been around forever. They are a respectable retailers. I'd assume they'd be authorized.
Edit: I read the reviews, I see what you mean about the warranty. It's supposed to be covered by WDC but their system doesn't always validate with the serial numbers. Some people had to chat WDC to get warranty confirmation.
thats a great price
just be warned, the 18TBs are using a new head technology which is higher performance and supposedly more reliable but with the trade-off of louder noise
my chucked elements 18TB (supposed to be the same drives but just maybe diff firmware) are clicking like a floppy drives at spin-up and initialized reads
quite disturbing but normal according to reddit

Mine is significantly quieter than my 5tb HGST NAS drive or my 2tb Seagate from about 5 years ago. It's in a NAS inside the end table right next to my couch and I can only barely hear it even when it initially spins up. Once it's going I can't hear it at all unless the room is quiet and I'm specifically listening for it.

Exactly. I know a lot of people are willing to risk it, but I'm not.
