They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)
Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.
So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

I have tried using one of those free line sims in my iPad but for some reason the data plan is ridiculously slow (feel like it's 3G speed not even LTE). I don't know if it's the iPad or just the fact that you aren't supposed to use the SIM in a tablet. The sim works perfectly fine when I put it into my Pixel 4A 5G giving me 5G speeds. For reference my iPad is a iPad Pro 12.9 3rd gen (2018, ATT version) so it isn't compatible with 5g only LTE.
Anyone else had similar experiences
