The multiple ways of using this $10 line for home internet are:
1. T-Mobile Gateway + Cudy N300 or X6 which are wifi only routers to mask hotspot usage with TTL set on the external wifi router. You can use other wifi routers for this purpose but there's a menu page in the Cudy routers which makes setting TTL easy - Courtesy waterchange
1.1 Cudy router like Cudy LT500 or LT18 or the 5G P8 work as a single device with modem + wifi router. Work well for home internet. Nice thing about the Cudy modems is easy TTL (and imei magic if necessary). - Courtesy waterchange
2. M2100 hotspot device - Hit or a miss - native out of the box but less reliable
3. Orbic 5G hotspot device - more reliable than the m2100, however some people have reported throttling after 1st couple of months
4. Gateway + Project Genesis - works most reliably
5. TMOHS1 - ~ 30-50 mbps out of the box, no TTL update required
6. Tmobile Franklin - ~30-50 mbps with TTL update - the most reliable as of right now, however limited speed.
7. M2000 won't pull data from anywhere.
8. GL.iNET Spitz GL-X3000NR easier to use than Cudy and better performance but expensive. Great form factor and performance. Presets for T-Mobile TTL settings and advanced cell features like tower/band lock. External antennas.
9. M3000B works out of the box with T-Mobile version. Has battery preservation features and ethernet port. Some users say to switch 5G mode to NSA if the hotspot restarts frequently in your area.
Add/update if you have more/better info.

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)
Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.
So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

I don't need this, nor want this, but damn AT&T Mobley unlimited plan is sucking dust lately and hardly worth it. I'm a light user as well. Maybe this plan can take up for AT&T's slack. Hope they figure out how to stream HD on this plan.
iwheela
You can do the deal online, and then chat in to make sure the free tablet credits are applied. Or setup the account online, and then try going into a corp store to get the line and tablet, though it seems YMMV for them to be willing to set you up with the $10 plan vs. $75.
I would prefer the online order, then get right on chat to firm up the free tablet credit will be applied, so as if a no go, you don't have to deal with cancellations and returns. It shouldn't play out like that, from those comments on redd it, but I like to pay it safe
Some people have done this all in store (including establishing the account) but results may vary. . .

That's not entirely true. Store reps won't confirm it for the most part.. You need to ask T-force about adding T-929 promo and $10 data plan (once you've created your business account) to clarify what will happen.
Most of the Juicy deals with T-MO aren't advertised or even acknowledged by those that have a commission involved.
I jumped over to TMO at the end of all the Sprint funzies, what 21 months ago. Have 6 free lines, and 20% insider hookup. . .but only the initial "3rd line free" at signup was ever advertised or seen anywhere when ordering. The others were done on "blind faith" and with the help here on SD and redddddit etc. and by asking/confirming with T-force if "I order this, it will be covered under promo xxxxx, before actually doing so?
Recently Pre-ordered an S22+ on Max plan with an XR as trade. . .even though the promo shows $800 TIV after bill credits for it, nothing on checkout shows anything other than $115 credit for that XR. . .but as always, I check with T-Force to make sure all is kosher, and a few weeks later I see on my account that I get the bill credits. That's just normal SOP for them. . .
With TMO, many times it's a blind jump of faith. . .but ask T-force first!!!
EDIT: if nothing else works easily, just create your account online, then go in to a corp store and add the tablet/plan to your account. slower weekday times seem to have better odds in store for these low/no commission deals to work in your favor. . .

Edit: I also assume if you complain loud enough, they may just think its not worth the hassle, and pay off the tablet for you while putting you on the correct plan. But YMMV, considering I know people who would try/pull this off.
But why not take the free tablet might as well

Should work. If it doesn't, you can cancel, or try again, until someone sees that the terms state that this should work. . .
