Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Decided to push it in the TMOHS1 hotspot over 10GB to see if it's using hotspot or data. I'll report back tomorrow, probably. I'm up to 2.5GB so far watching Youtube.

Thank you!

Ok , if that is the case , then are they going to retire the free unlimited phone lines too? That will make many people upset
I think he meant they will soon grandfather this $10 plan (or just end it as it's a promo), and those who snooze and didn't sign up at $10 lose. . .

In general, once you sign up, you keep it until you change it. So everyone who signs up for the amazing plans gets grandfathered in. The free lines were a great deal and haven't been offered for a while.

You can see that this is why they're pushing so hard to get everyone to switch to Magenta Max. All the great phone deals are only for those who are on Magenta Max. They'll make more money by switching people to Magenta Max and getting them to voluntarily give up their old cheaper plan.

So this $10 per month tablet plan will eventually be closed for new sign ups probably within 3 months. But everyone on it gets to keep it until they switch to a different plan. People are paying $10 per month for what is currently a $20/month product on the consumer side. It can't last too long before they stop new sign ups.

How are people doing this? I called the number listed and I was asked to go to a store to start a business account.

I had wanted to go to a store to do this.. but tried calling the Business Side of TMO and got a Business Customer Service Rep and he set me up with the new business acct.

He asked me for my Business EIN # / Business Address / Business Phone #
Also asked if I was ok with TMO running a Credit Check on my Business... which I had no issues with.. for some reason the phone # that they got during the verification process was not the # that I provided. I had no idea what # they found / saw on their side nor would they tell me. They only said it was a 305 area code.. I was like that does not help me as I have 3 lines with 305 and 2 with 786 ...none of which matched the # they saw. They finally took one of the 786 #s I had .. what a mission... then I went on to get the 2 SIMS x $10 / Each with the TI PLAN for $20/ month for 2 SIMS. I asked about the $5 Autopay Discount and they said it cant apply to this promotion. The rep set me all up and told me to then stay on the line and await a call from a T-Mobile Expert who will call my business line to verify my phone #. I received the call and it was a Hello and Thanks for Choosing T-Mobile and call was over pretty much. Got back to the original Rep on my cell and he sent me an email with my Account info and Order. He overnighted the 2 SIM Cards which arrived the following day ... Told me to call after they arrived and he would look into any possible further discount as I informed him I was a Retired Law Enforcement Officer / First Responder. We spoke again the day the SIMS arrived and all worked as soon as I placed the SIM into the laptop, He connected me to some advanced level up customer service rep who informed me they should be able to get me a further discount on my bill but would need to look into it. I should hear back before the end of the week she told me. Time will tell. Even $5 bucks off $20 a month adds up over time.. beggars cant be choosey. keeping my fingers crossed for more savings.

I got the tablet and line activated today. I've got 5g with 130mb/s down. Does anyone know if I can return the tablet but keep the line? I'm not confident I'll get the free tablet promo. I don't see it on my account. And I really have no use for another low-end tablet anyway.
Yes.... $20 restock fee.

I noticed if you USB Tether off the TMOHS1, it uses the plan data. If you connect to it through WiFi, it uses hotspot data.

This morning, my phone was connected through WiFi and I was playing YouTube videos for a couple of hours and the Hotspot usage went up. I set up the USB tether again in the afternoon and no change to the hotspot usage since.

Looking forward to your update.

I bought it online at T-Mobile Business website, I selected the sole proprietorship option. It only asked me for my SSN, nothing else really. No documentation, no EIN, etc.

How are you USB tethering? Just turn it on in the settings, plug it into your PC, and away you go?

What if you USB Tether off the TMOHS1 device to a wireless router and get wifi from the router?

Most likely would work. I'll probably test with Connectify.

so I have a google pixel 6 pro verizon version that is unlocked. I stuck the new tablet sim card in and it worked and I am getting 5G UC on it. I've kept it in the phone for about 5 hours without slowdowns to 3g as mentioned on this thread. My account on tmobile recognizes the phone correctly as well. I am thinking about canceling my primary phone service and just using this with my google voice # for calling.

I guess that confirms that this plan limits video streaming to 480p.

Just use a VPN. Will stream at full speed.
