Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Yep... that's around where it's at. (Have done this a bunch of times after they added the free HD pass on...)
Thanks for the info.

So it sounds like it is actually capped at 1080p (or whatever you can get on a service for 8Mbps).

Yeah, like 4K. That works.

It appears so. Just did a mock order and with the $10 TE tax excluded plan, it shows the $8.33 tab a7 lite credits as well.

Side note, seems the tablet promo code did/is about to change again.

In march it was T929, then April 1 switched to T964. Just now in cart it showed promo T941. Same deal though

EDIT: their Business website is getting wanky again. T941 is the tablet promo code for the Consumer side which started Feb 24th.

EDIT: With WIFI I'm getting 290 Mbps download and 90 Mbps up on the A7 Lite tablet. Not too bad.
I wonder if this is limited to one per customer.

I ordered two lines/tablet deals that came in last week, a few here have ordered more. Can't imagine a limit under 12, and don't see the normal limit 2 or 4 in the terms like Consumer deals.

Yes it should work fine. I have it currently set up on an iPhone with GV, plus the data line comes with a phone number that can be used for text messages. With the Pixel, you can also configure a USB tethering workaround to avoid using hotspot data.

Could you elaborate on the USB tethering part? Is rooting required?

Wow, that's awesome! Thank you for clarification!
There is also a hack (posted earlier in this thread) to mask hotspot data on the HS1 hotspot (which TMo gives out for free for their 'test drive' promo)...

But it still requires to have HD video stream to activate in order to have that 5G streaming. is it not?
Or you need to run a VPN which will allow use of full bandwidth on any site...

I don't have an Android phone myself, so I haven't looked into it extensively, but from reading through all the comments in the beginning of this thread, it sounds like you can install an app on your phone then connect a USB cord from your phone to a USB enabled router. Usage will show as mobile data and not show as hotspot data. I don't think rooting your phone is required. I'm sure there are more detailed plans online. Try searching "T-Mobile EasyTether Mango" in Google

This seems generic, I thought you meant something Pixel specific. Don't like the idea that one has to bring another device and it's power supply though.

Just get the free HS1 hotspot and run the hack on it to mask the data... Or the more expensive M2000 if you want 5g
