Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

How do you sign up for the business account with FEIN? I am on the credit check page and the system does not allow me to click on Use Tax Id (EIN)

Sure..... For the FW patch, kernel patch along with unlocked read/write and custom iemi you'd be looking @ $150. Ad another $50 if you want the device carrier unlocked as well.(Really no need for this, we used it merely for testing purposes)

You have to interact with someone to sign up with EIN. I called in. Others go in store; presumably you can do it via chat also.

anyone added the 2nd line or more lines after first line was set up?
twitter and facebook team seem can't do that over the chat even after verified the account info,
they want me to go to the store,
anyone can share the experiences? thanks a lot
Go do this yourself online and skip interacting with anyone. Log into your business account, choose Shop > Shop Catalog > SIM only > sim card > add a line to my plan > choose tablet plan > the scroll to bottom of the tablet plans for the $10 Magenta Business Tablet 10GB Promo.

If you happen to already have a T-Mobile sim card, you can choose "already have a SIM card", select "tablet" for what type of device you're activating (default is phone) and choose the $10 plan.

I signed up Business account but it keeps saying it's being activating, need to check back 24-48hours.
I signed up fine with regular tmobile account.
If I could, I'll do online myself!!

Good data point! I typically try to do self-service for anything account-related. On my account (existing personal->sole proprietor), things are still accessed through the consumer account management site, and if I go to add anything, I get a message to call in. If I try to sign in on the business side of things, I get "Setting up account. Please check back in the next 24-48 hours to continue activation" message that seems fairly common.

Correct, that is what happened to me when I tried this online - an indefinite wait on the website with the note: "Please check back in the next 24 - 48 hours to continue activation." After a few days of seeing that I called up T-Mobile Business and asked them to set me up - the CSR tried to do it for a short while but stopped and advised me to go to a T-Mobile corporate store, (not an independent). However, once the business account and the first line was set up, getting the second line was more straight-forward. I don't know, perhaps the credit check and corporate verification was the issue Dontknow . It appears that there are so many variables in getting this done that there is no single script to follow.

It's weird, I've been on that "check back in 24-48 hours" message on Business side sign in for over a month. Tablet ordered online arrived and works fine. Tried to return the 2nd tablet to try and get a Chromebook Go or now would have to be CB 511, and they couldn't even find my order info. Business sales/care/and supervisors. Supervisor finally found it, but there were no order dates or further info on her side??? They said they would get back to me once they had more info on the account/order, but haven't. T-Force said they couldn't process the return, but did get me switched over to TI plan.
I have been able to sign in through my.T-mo and oddly my first auto payment date bumps one day later each day. Get the can't place another order must call in red message. But you would think the 3 hours with them on the phone they would have mentioned if I needed to do anything as I was also asking them why my online access was messed up and was unable to place a 2nd order. . .they told me data only business customers didn't have full online access??

Just stopped by a T-Mobile corporate store and they said the two mentioned SOC codes for the $10 tablet plans are "grandfathered plans from 2017" and that they are not eligible for new signups 🥴

If you open biz account with your SSN, you need to sign up your T-Mobile ID at regular T-Mobile site. That's what the agent told me via Twitter. They said they don't really consider biz account with SSN as a business account, but it does get business plans and promo.
