The multiple ways of using this $10 line for home internet are:
1. T-Mobile Gateway + Cudy N300 or X6 which are wifi only routers to mask hotspot usage with TTL set on the external wifi router. You can use other wifi routers for this purpose but there's a menu page in the Cudy routers which makes setting TTL easy - Courtesy waterchange
1.1 Cudy router like Cudy LT500 or LT18 or the 5G P8 work as a single device with modem + wifi router. Work well for home internet. Nice thing about the Cudy modems is easy TTL (and imei magic if necessary). - Courtesy waterchange
2. M2100 hotspot device - Hit or a miss - native out of the box but less reliable
3. Orbic 5G hotspot device - more reliable than the m2100, however some people have reported throttling after 1st couple of months
4. Gateway + Project Genesis - works most reliably
5. TMOHS1 - ~ 30-50 mbps out of the box, no TTL update required
6. Tmobile Franklin - ~30-50 mbps with TTL update - the most reliable as of right now, however limited speed.
7. M2000 won't pull data from anywhere.
8. GL.iNET Spitz GL-X3000NR easier to use than Cudy and better performance but expensive. Great form factor and performance. Presets for T-Mobile TTL settings and advanced cell features like tower/band lock. External antennas.
9. M3000B works out of the box with T-Mobile version. Has battery preservation features and ethernet port. Some users say to switch 5G mode to NSA if the hotspot restarts frequently in your area.
Add/update if you have more/better info.

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)
Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.
So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

FWIW, I've taken the tablet to a location where my speeds were slower at ~30 down 5 up and it worked fine for Zoom. I'm not sure how it would be where the tower is congested, though.
If you're curious about your location, try out the tmobile test drive.
Personally, I'd like to get faster speeds, even if limited to just 10GB/mo. So, if I purchased one of those M2000 units off of Ebay and used it with one of business tablet-line SIMs in it, maybe I could take advantage of a few of the T-Mobile frequencies that are enabled, too. Since it would just be a backup data line, I think the 10GB per month limit would work for me. I just don't want to risk having the line canceled -- I would be fine having them de-prioritize the line or move it to 3G at the end of the 10GB monthly usage. Any thoughts on what would happen?

- this T-Mobile Magenta Business SIM does NOT work with the T-Mobile Inseego M2000 hotspot _without_ a custom firmware flash
- since my Verizon Inseego M2100 came unlocked (and I assume all Verizon hotspots come unlocked, based on online forums and my personal experience with the Inseego 8800L and this M2100), yes, it worked fine with both my 5G Verizon data plan and this T-Mobile Magenta Business 10GB unlimited plan. (Interestingly, the free 30-day test drive T-Mobile hotspot SIM card did NOT give me any data in the Inseego M2100; T-Mobile must have blocked it from non-T-Mobile hotspots specifically for the free test drive?) The T-Mobile Magenta Business SIM was seen as "Non-Verizon SIM" but the M2100 picked up the correct APN without any manual setting changes.
- I am most likely limited to 10GB of regular hotspot usage
- I have gone past 35GB with USB-tethered M2100 hotspot usage with the T-Mobile Magenta Business SIM + M2100 => USB tether => Mango GLI Router
- I assume that the T-Mobile Magenta Business SIM will provide faster speeds in the M2000 than in my M2100, but I was never able to test. The fastest speeds I got with the M2100 and the T-Mobile Magenta Business SIM was around 200Mbps down
All for just under $300/month!
- 10 Cell lines
- 3 watch lines
- 1 tablet line (added today with this deal)
I was on a personal plan prior to switching to the business plan 3 days ago. All i did was give them my SSN as my Tax ID.Side note, AT&T is pure evil. They lie, cheat and steal at every turn. They've now resorted to door-to-door sales trying to sucker unsuspecting fools into signing up. I went for it 3 months ago, after clearly outlining my expectations with the salesman. He sent me every "requirement/understanding" we had in writing. 2 months later after they still hadn't met anything they agreed to I left AT&T for good. They tried charging me over $1000 in ETF's which I simply responded with a big FU while attaching all the agreed upon parameters that they agreed to beforehand. They apologized and moved on.. In short, NEVER sign anything from AT&T that you don't understand or conflicts with their terms and conditions, UNSLESS you get something contradicting it in writing. I was called a liar by multiple people before they knew I had the sales guy write out and agree to everything.

Can I ask why you have 10 phone lines?

We have a spare mr1000, so I'm wondering if I can swap out a T-Mobile business tablet SIM or the Verizon hotspot SIM to it, and if it'll work well enough.
Not sure about paying someone to flash my firmware... Especially since I would probably have to pay again if I wanted to switch to stock firmware then switch back. Not really sure how long these work around things will be an option, and if it's really worth sinking money into. Also concerned about using a tablet line in another device, since I guess theoretically they could cancel all my lines
Did the service fee include the SIM card?
I'm going to try and do it with a phone call and see if I can avoid the service fee.
