Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Speed seems plenty for Zoom. I think as long as ping times don't spike or vary too much, the connection should be sustainable. I was getting ping times on speedtest around the 60-80ms range.

FWIW, I've taken the tablet to a location where my speeds were slower at ~30 down 5 up and it worked fine for Zoom. I'm not sure how it would be where the tower is congested, though.

If you're curious about your location, try out the tmobile test drive.
Thanks for the info. Seems like I can host about 5 hours of Zoom calls with the 10GB.

Try doing the deal and received notification they need additional info to confirm the Business. Anyone know if I go to the store and give them my application code will they be able to set me up based on what I added to the cart?

My Inseego M2100 uses the standard Verizon firmware. Both of my Verizon and T-Mobile SIM cards get 5G signals. But with T-Mobile, I presume I am not getting max 5G speeds since the optimal T-Mobile bands may not be turned on for my device.
Thanks for the info. So, it is thought that a T-Mobile SIM placed in the M2100 works with the T-Mobile network, but not optimally, then, right? If I understand you, you did that and T-Mobile allowed it to operate as a hotspot.

Personally, I'd like to get faster speeds, even if limited to just 10GB/mo. So, if I purchased one of those M2000 units off of Ebay and used it with one of business tablet-line SIMs in it, maybe I could take advantage of a few of the T-Mobile frequencies that are enabled, too. Since it would just be a backup data line, I think the 10GB per month limit would work for me. I just don't want to risk having the line canceled -- I would be fine having them de-prioritize the line or move it to 3G at the end of the 10GB monthly usage. Any thoughts on what would happen?

A few points to add here (there's probably more valuable info in the thread, but I realize 150+ pages is a lot to scan):
- this T-Mobile Magenta Business SIM does NOT work with the T-Mobile Inseego M2000 hotspot _without_ a custom firmware flash
- since my Verizon Inseego M2100 came unlocked (and I assume all Verizon hotspots come unlocked, based on online forums and my personal experience with the Inseego 8800L and this M2100), yes, it worked fine with both my 5G Verizon data plan and this T-Mobile Magenta Business 10GB unlimited plan. (Interestingly, the free 30-day test drive T-Mobile hotspot SIM card did NOT give me any data in the Inseego M2100; T-Mobile must have blocked it from non-T-Mobile hotspots specifically for the free test drive?) The T-Mobile Magenta Business SIM was seen as "Non-Verizon SIM" but the M2100 picked up the correct APN without any manual setting changes.
- I am most likely limited to 10GB of regular hotspot usage
- I have gone past 35GB with USB-tethered M2100 hotspot usage with the T-Mobile Magenta Business SIM + M2100 => USB tether => Mango GLI Router
- I assume that the T-Mobile Magenta Business SIM will provide faster speeds in the M2000 than in my M2100, but I was never able to test. The fastest speeds I got with the M2100 and the T-Mobile Magenta Business SIM was around 200Mbps down

That's exactly what I did. Signed up online, got that prompt to go to store to confirm, went to store, gave them the cart #, walked out with tablet. Took about 2 hours and had to pay the $30 service fee for going into the store.

I picked up this deal today after moving to T-Mobile 2 days ago! T-Mobile is hands down the best carrier in the US today.

All for just under $300/month!
  • 10 Cell lines
  • 3 watch lines
  • 1 tablet line (added today with this deal)
I was on a personal plan prior to switching to the business plan 3 days ago. All i did was give them my SSN as my Tax ID.

Side note, AT&T is pure evil. They lie, cheat and steal at every turn. They've now resorted to door-to-door sales trying to sucker unsuspecting fools into signing up. I went for it 3 months ago, after clearly outlining my expectations with the salesman. He sent me every "requirement/understanding" we had in writing. 2 months later after they still hadn't met anything they agreed to I left AT&T for good. They tried charging me over $1000 in ETF's which I simply responded with a big FU while attaching all the agreed upon parameters that they agreed to beforehand. They apologized and moved on.. In short, NEVER sign anything from AT&T that you don't understand or conflicts with their terms and conditions, UNSLESS you get something contradicting it in writing. I was called a liar by multiple people before they knew I had the sales guy write out and agree to everything. Smilie

Sorry to hear about your AT&T experience. Seems a number of people that post on these phone service threads have had issues with them.

Can I ask why you have 10 phone lines?

My family currently has a Verizon $70/mo (retired in 2019 hotspot plan) in an inseego m2000(?). I'm assuming the the m2000 is the best option for both the T-Mobile business tablet plan as well as the Verizon plan... Correct?

We have a spare mr1000, so I'm wondering if I can swap out a T-Mobile business tablet SIM or the Verizon hotspot SIM to it, and if it'll work well enough.

Not sure about paying someone to flash my firmware... Especially since I would probably have to pay again if I wanted to switch to stock firmware then switch back. Not really sure how long these work around things will be an option, and if it's really worth sinking money into. Also concerned about using a tablet line in another device, since I guess theoretically they could cancel all my lines

Theoretically, all business lines, but not personal.

Thanks for the info.

Did the service fee include the SIM card?

I'm going to try and do it with a phone call and see if I can avoid the service fee.

I have the ATT Netgear MR1000, Verizon Inseego 8800L and the Verizon Inseego 2100. All three will work with my T-Mobile and Verizon SIMs, but I'm sticking with my M2100 since it's the only one that supports 5G. The others are just backups at this point in time.

Assuming you used the Tmo tablet business SIM... Did you need to do any modification on the Verizon Inseego 2100? Did you pay that Rich guy for it?
