Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

I think it's more the bands. Even when I directly connect to 5g21, I get the same speeds. I know n I've gotten twice the speeds on band N41. It's currently just connecting to the 70 something one
Interesting thought - I assume there's no way to band lock the trash can?

Trying to do it online for Moxee tab (don't need it.. but still as A7 is in/out of stock)

Here's break-up
1. Your bill before savings = $17.00
2. Multi-line discount = $0.00
3. Auto Pay Discount = -$5.00
4. Promo code T859 = -$7.00

Your monthly bill Estimated after savings = $5.00.

Any experts - (sorry didn't read through 183 lines pages) - pls advise if this is good.
Two questions:
a). Can I swap sim to laptop - I read somewhere in between we can
b). can I use the Tab itself for Tethering to my phone?

Thanks in advance
Just get a TMOSH1 for free via Test Drive.
When you get it, you can use the tele# to sign up for some free TMo Tuesday stuff.
Then, hack it after 30d with the script linked in this thread. (search TMOSH1)

Run your laptop with it via wifi.
The hotspot is currently unlimited.

I use my TMOSH1 hotspot with my work laptop when I am out and about.
I use the free tablet to connect to the TMOSH1 hotspot , and I stream MLB.tv, PLEX, Amazon Prime, etc while working.

Beyond playing with it for a few days awhile ago, I haven't used this hotspot so I can't look it up on my account. That being said, there's nothing done to change the identity of the TMOHS1 with the mod so I'm sure it would show up as the TMOHS1.

fwiw, I've moved to using Cudy LT450 or LT500 routers as they're much more practical for daily use, cheap (~$70 used), and easy to change TTL as well as imei although latter not needed for T-Mobile. In a good signal area, I see 50+ Mbps down and 20+ Mbps up with the Cudy routers which is more than usable for me given the price of the routers.
You are incorrect, if you check my previous posts, I posted a screenshot, it comes up as "Phone-first Unknown Device".

My speeds are the same as yours on the TMOHS1, 50 down and 20 up.

I recently ordered a Netgear 6700 off of ebay for $25. it supports DD-WRT and has a USB3.0 port on the front. haven't installed DD-WRT on it yet.
Will that allow you to teether off the hotspot? You will still be capped at the speed from hotspot?

Are verizon M2100 unlocked by default, or we have to look for unlocked ones specifically?
I've purchased 2-3 Verizon branded Inseego hotspots, including the M2100. Each has been unlocked for me so far.

Yes, DD-WRT allows to change TTL via custom commands and also supports USB tethering with the hotspot. Speeds would still be limited to the hotspot's capabilities. With Franklin and TMOHS1 I get around 30-35 Mbps down in my area.

Wow, that's expensive. You can do almost half that by doing trash can gateway and Cudy router. But yours is easier to set up

I've bought from that seller before and he's reputable
I paid $105+ tax for mine on eBay. Most go from $150-200. If you are patient, these will occasionally pop up around $100-120. The M2100 is more expensive on the used market than the M2000.

Can we usb c tether to a Mac? Over 10G and no slow down?
I haven't tried to tether with a computer, but it should work just fine, as the M2100 device will ask you whether you want to provide data through Wi-Fi, usb, or both when you plug in the usb cable to an ext device.

I can't comment on whether the data is seen as hotspot or on-device, but others have done laptop tethering with different hotspots and have gotten past the 10GB data limit without getting throttled.

How do you like it? It is performing well: stable/fast? What's the download/upload speed on LTE/5G?

been using inseego M2100.. it works without any issue. On TMo acct, it shows 6210 as the device.

Does anyone know a good load balance router or bonding device?
I use this TP link. It kind of sucks but it's cheap. I'm thinking of using a cudy

Wait - so you guys are saying that an Inseego M2100 (NOT the M2000) will pull native data without any tinkering or router tethering, using this plan? Basically buy an M2100, pop in the tablet SIM, and unlimited 5G native data?

Native limit is 50GB, I read it somewhere. I'm not sure as it's hard for me to go over that
