Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

For those that signed up with their ssn under sole prop and cannot change anything online, what is the solution if all phones end up following the iPhone and go esin only? I doubt T-Mobile is going to authorize esim changes for phones on a tablet plan. And has anyone changed their account from sole prop with SSN to an account with an EIN? Will this allow me to now make changes online without calling everytime?

Guys, there's another thread about it, but you can get the Kvd21 5G gateway for around $50 from metro. Pair it with a $25-40 cudy router and call it a day. It's the cheapest and fastest option. At this point everyone on SD should have this. $10/month unlimited 5G home internet is unmatchable

I am very interested in trying this. Does T-Mobile also ships the router for $50? Or we have to do it through Metro? Do I need to get a metro cell line or just go to the store (it is quite a drive), and buy the first month free along with the $50 modem and be done with it?

I asked Cudy support and only Cudy LTE routers have TTL change option like directly in stock firmware. I bought Cudy X6 and I think I need to flash other firmware or something to change TTL.

I am currently using GL.iNet GL-AR300M16 and it was easy to change TTL on it.

I can't find if T-Mobile sells router directly on it's own.

MetroPCS website says need to have phone/voice line to get modem. Can't do it online, need to go to store for it.

I bought mine from eBay, 5G21 paid like $75 for it but it was fully new, you can get for much cheaper I think.

That's not true. Many of us have been able to do it. Just upgrade stock firmware. Don't need to flash anything. Just make sure it's one of the newer ones, such as this :

You get something like a free phone, the gateway and 1 month of service for about $100. Sell the free phone and your total cost is around $50. Look at the other thread for details
