Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

From what I can tell, the Orbic 5G gets me the highest download speed among all of the hotspots I've tried (6 or so total so far). The M2100 is the second fastest. Both show 5G signals, but it possibly is the bands that may differ and make the difference.

The M2100 is smaller and lighter, so I actually carry the M2100 out and about when I need super portability. The Orbic has a built in Ethernet port, so that may be the advantage in other situations.

Does the Orbic 5G get you better download speeds than the MR6400?

Do you have to activate their service or just cancel without activating?

When you checkout you are required to pay for the first month service. I *think* the service is activated automatically for the hotspot but I have no way to confirm as I couldn't get any signal when I turned on the hotspot where I live. I just called them to cancel I guess you could ask them to refund the first month service but I didn't bother.

Is anyone able to receive text messages sent to the TMO number assigned to the account once they're using it in a router? I have two, one's in a CUDY router the other is in a NOK gateway. I'd like to be able to get texts sent to these numbers.

I have two of these tablet lines. Is there any way to have them billed to separate credit cards?

Where would you even see the messages? The DIGITS app does not work with this line. Seems like we have to move the sim to a tablet or phone temporarily to check messages.

Cannot say to the Cudy, but I was able to send and receive messages with my line when using the TMOHS1 as well as Franklin T9 hotspots.

Yes, I'm able to receive text message from my cudy lt500. The txt messages i received are from tmobile warnings though that i have reach over 50gb, but i saw them when accessing cudy router itself.

apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge about this. By this router, you mean a 4G LTE router so i can pop in the tmobile sim and modify TTL within the router's interface? If so, do you have a rec on cheap routers that can do this? The MR1100 I have won't even pull hotspot data from tmo sim and it shows as disconnected in its UI.

Is this ebay listing relevant?

If you have a router, check if yours is compatible to flash firmware that you can edit TTL. If you don't, the cheapest option would be is a raspberry pi that can be flash to those firmwares. https://www.ofmodemsandmen.com/

His MR1100 should be able to pull some data regardless of TTL

Where do you send and receive messages, when using the TMOHS1?

You login to the hotspot in your browser and there's a section for messages in there.
