Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Not recently, but worked when I last used it.
Great. Let's hope T Mo does not handicap this $10 SIM in the future.

I bought a new KVD21 on eBay too and it works with no problems. Could it be that yours is blacklisted?

I don't believe the $10 SIM is locked to a single device.

My T Mobile home internet SIM would not work when inserted into the TMOHS1. Therefore, I believe this SIM is coded to a single device.

Have you tested a T Mobile phone SIM with the Arcadyan? If it does not pull data, then you may have a bad unit.

I bought a gateway new in a sealed box from Facebook marketplace and it works perfectly with my tablet sim. Yours is eather damaged or blacklisted.
You guys are right. It is blacklisted. I took it into a T-Mobile store today and they said it's blocked due to it being reported as "stolen / undeliverable". They told me that they can't remove the block. I thought I got a great deal buying it for only $45 brand new on eBay, but I guess now I know why the seller accepted my low offer. Now I have to go through the process of sticking this unit up his farking ass for selling me this POS.

Sorry to hear that. eBay's buyer protection should have you covered in case the seller gives you any trouble. Just FYI, I bought two KVD21 on eBay, one for $56.99 picked up locally and one for $60 shipped. Just to give you an idea.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll keep that in mind. I'm within eBay's 30-day return window. Just out of curiosity, does your KVD21 appear in your list of devices in your online account? This [t-mobile.com] should be the direct link to it after you log in. It does on mine. I just want to make sure if it's okay for it to appear there since it's a tablet line.

I want to add an additional line to my current plan by calling them. Can I use the free SIM that's shipped with TMOHS1 for the additional line when contacting TMobile service to save the $20 SIM fee? Any information would be appreciated!

Why not just get a free SIM and not risk anything?

Edit: Even better, why not try it yourself in your TFB portal (Shop - Bring your own device - Activate a SIM card you already own)?

Don't they charge $20 for the SIM?

I used my SSN to get the plan and could only set up my account on the consumer site but not the business site.

Then you shouldn't be able to get the $10 line anyway

I understand that but then you would have the TFB portal instead of My T-Mobile, no? They indicated they only have a consumer login.

Ok, I was not aware there were two portals you could log in with using a business account. I figured if you logged in with a business number it would automatically route you to the business portal

I get self signup disabled when trying to sign up for tfb

If I try to login to TFB I get " Setting up account.
Please check back in the next 24-48 hours to continue activation."

Exactly my thought too. Either you see the TFB portal (since you're a business customer) or you don't have a business account.

Anyway, to the original issue. In the TFB portal I can (and have) order(ed) free SIM cards, and I also activated this tablet line with a SIM card I had handy. Worked 5 minutes later and no activation fee.

This is the first time I'm hearing this tbh. I've had a TMO business plan for many years and am being routed to TFB when logging into my.t-mobile.com. I only activated this tablet promo as an additional line. Not sure if this is any different for folks who only have this tablet line?
