The multiple ways of using this $10 line for home internet are:
1. T-Mobile Gateway + Cudy N300 or X6 which are wifi only routers to mask hotspot usage with TTL set on the external wifi router. You can use other wifi routers for this purpose but there's a menu page in the Cudy routers which makes setting TTL easy - Courtesy waterchange
1.1 Cudy router like Cudy LT500 or LT18 or the 5G P8 work as a single device with modem + wifi router. Work well for home internet. Nice thing about the Cudy modems is easy TTL (and imei magic if necessary). - Courtesy waterchange
2. M2100 hotspot device - Hit or a miss - native out of the box but less reliable
3. Orbic 5G hotspot device - more reliable than the m2100, however some people have reported throttling after 1st couple of months
4. Gateway + Project Genesis - works most reliably
5. TMOHS1 - ~ 30-50 mbps out of the box, no TTL update required
6. Tmobile Franklin - ~30-50 mbps with TTL update - the most reliable as of right now, however limited speed.
7. M2000 won't pull data from anywhere.
8. GL.iNET Spitz GL-X3000NR easier to use than Cudy and better performance but expensive. Great form factor and performance. Presets for T-Mobile TTL settings and advanced cell features like tower/band lock. External antennas.
9. M3000B works out of the box with T-Mobile version. Has battery preservation features and ethernet port. Some users say to switch 5G mode to NSA if the hotspot restarts frequently in your area.
Add/update if you have more/better info.

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)
Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.
So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Thats google Meet..
I'm talking about KVD21 and router.
I have 4G Cudy LT500 router with sim card slot for a long time, changed TTL to 65, Tmo reading data as unlimited.
Internet speed is not as good as other people telling here, about 20 gbps, may be because of location.
Decided to try 5G. Routers are very expensive, so got KVD21 from Ebay.
Sim card in KVD21 (cannot edit TTL there), then connection to Cudy, TMO reading this as hotspot.
How you guys getting unlimited from such setup, or what I'm missing?

That works on the Cudy X6 and will probably work on the LT500.
Also try 68.
64 uses hotspot, maybe 65 too.
64 works on the TMOHS1 for data.
Search thread for: cudy x6 ttl 66
Also, Search thread for: cudy LT500 ttl 66
or just ttl, not 66, or other similar searches.
Coupling a 4G router, the LT500, with a 5G router, the KVD21, may not be a good pairing.
If you can get a Cudy X6, things may work better.
Your 20Mbps speeds may be related to your routers pairing.
Using the X6 and the KVD21 has been trouble free here, with speeds in the hundreds of MBps.
Speeds with a 4G device, the TMOHS1 are around 20Mbps to 50Mbps.
Good luck.

I don't understand logic of KVD21- router setup. TMO sees KVD21, reads it as hotspot without any router, right? Then you add the router, and suddenly Tmo reads it as unlimeted data?
Again, what I'm missing here?

2. Yes, it's the TTL # that make it look like unlimited data and not as hotspot data.
3. Nothing

It happened to me by mistake.
But, to double check on that:
Check your speed at the start of your new billing period.
If the speed goes back to normal it means that your device is using hotspot data as the 10Gb hotspot data allotment was reset.
Now, you have to look at the T9 to see if something was reset to defaults.
Perhaps it got an auto FW update from T-Mo.
Or, it's possible that T-Mo can now ID the T9 properly and it's now treating it as just a real T9.
I have the TMOHS1 hacked and its speeds are the same as before, around 25-50Mbps.
The T9 is sort of a cousin but it has different abilities.
Is it possible that your T9 is bandlocked to a Sprint band that's being abandoned by T-Mo?
In that case a band change will fix the speed issue.

Just checked usage and you are absolutely right. Usage is at 10GB and data is logged as hotspot data. I have TTL mod in router that's connecting to T9. I have no mods on T9 itself. So, I wonder what changed? T-mobile has probably reclassified T9 as hotspot and any data from it (regardless of TTL) is classified as hotspot data? What are my alternatives. I was using T9 + TTL 65 Router setup in car.
On the hacked TMOHS1 the TTL can be set to avoid using hotspot data.
May/may not be able to set the TTL on the T9 to avoid hotspot data usage.
On the T9 the TTL may have to be set on the device itself, IF possible, not the router.
Doubtful that T-Mo would have reclassified the T9 only as a hotspot. Most likely, it would have been done for the hacked TMOHS1 too, but so far that's working fine.
Try to see if the TTL can be set directly on the T9.
Search this thread for T9 TTL for more.
An alternative would be to get a TMOHS1 and hack it as it's been described in this thread.
