I believe you're thinking of the hair dryer with the brush bristles (the one-step hair dryer).

I have this and it does get very hot - not surprised some have reported it catching fire/melting. I can stand it long enough to get my hair from wet to just damp then quit because it is uncomfortably hot.

And the handle design or balance (not sure which) of the hair dryer is a bit uncomfortable if you have carpal tunnel or any other condition that affects your hand. I hadn't considered that before when buying a hair dryer, but since it's become an issue it is something I will consider next time.

maybe i'm the only one, but i use hair dryers for heat... often. well, this cheap hair dryer is too hot for doing that, even at the low setting.

i bet someone will find this useful. best get-warm hair dryer IMHO is this one... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

Used this to remove the glass back panels off some mobile phones recently. Worked well for that.

My wife has the pricier version of this and the cap that narrows the airflow melted. But to be honest her hair is very long and any hair dryer would need a break after several minutes of continuous operation.
