We have this controller as well, and while your experience can't be disputed, the material quality is definitely better than the stock controller. This has the rubberized grip material on both triggers and underneath (the green sections) that feel much better than the all plastic controller that comes with the Series X. It has a little more heft and feels better in hand. Bummer that yours seems defective. We love it.

I use a DS4 on Windows (and have a ps5) but that 20th Anniversary controller looks really cool and I wish Sony would more often do "cool" controller themes.

The box the controller comes in also has an Easter egg. If you shine a black light on it, the original Duke controller shows up.

I wanted to like this controller more than I do. Still a good price, especially on one of their "special editions"

Xbox controllers and switch controllers are terrific to play with.

I bought this controller a few months ago so I could have 2 of the new controllers for my Series X. Build quality on this controller doesn't feel as good as the one you get with the system. I get a little clicking sound on the left side grip, right about where the left trigger is. It's not too bad but I'm a little OCD so I find myself constantly tapping it to make that clicking noise...

They could have had a 25th anniversary controller, but they missed that boat. Maybe a 30th will come out in a couple of years.

Lol that was my reaction as well... Sony did the 20th anniversary first. In all fairness though, I think Eragorn meant they wish Sony would do more controller themed controllers (and stock them well).

Imo, Microsoft overdoes it on controller variations while Sony could do more. I'm sure there's someone out there who collects them ALL and I feel sorry for such a person.
Yup, Sony definitely got there first. Also Nintendo already did the 35th Anniversary Mario thing. Why Sony didn't do a 25th I don't get. Sony has been very reserved with PS5 controllers so far it seems, they released a lot more colors and options for PS4. Maybe due to the overall shortages, who knows.

Some of the Xbox special controllers are just ridiculous or downright ugly, but they also have the design lab as an option, where Sony doesn't have anything of the sort.

And 100% agreed that there are people who (at least try) to collect them all, I guess everyone's gotta have a hobby though laugh out loud

It is a beautiful controller that brought back memories of my first Xbox. Razer also sells a matching charging stand for this.
