TV is bad, sound bar not good, not a good deal unless you somehow need both. Even then I don't think it is a deal. Check Rtings.com for their review. Not trying to thread crap, just don't like these products. I don't think the sound bar is rated yet, but it's just a 2.1 sound bar, so the "Atmos" it has is completely fake, doesn't even have the up firing speakers, it is all just virtual. It may sound ok as a 2.1 though.
If you don't like these products why even go to the post and comment?
Because people like me want to hear all the facts and opinions, not just the rosey colored ones. His post made me go and check the reviews on Rtings, because I don't want to buy a crappy product, just because it's a good price.
He even stated that he is not intending to thread crap, that tells me he is the kind of person who simply wants to provide a balanced view... not someone wanting to bash all Vizio products.

How can you provide an informed opinion if you've never owned the product? He's basing his review on some quick tests on rtings. I actually own the $480 Vizio V series 70" and it's a great television - has hdmi 2.1, eArc, and local dimming. Also has apple airplay built into the tv. Yes, I actually own the product and have had it since beginning of 2020

How can we take you seriously when you claim this TV has HDMI 2.1 but it doesn't? That isn't necessarily on you as Vizio advertised it did, but it doesn't, which should be another reason for others to stay away. You also claim it has local dimming but it doesn't. To top it off most budget laptops get brighter than this TV is capable of, which is truly pathetic in today's TV market. This TV is not good. Defend this TV all you want, but most folks out there trust rtings as they use professional equipment and base their review on data, not some rando on the internet's opinion.

The V-series of this brand is an 'OK' model. If you want a better TV, get the M-series.
And if you are expecting exceptional sound out of a sound bar, temper your expectations. These are simply replacements for the crappy speakers built-in to the TV. Now, I like my vizio soundbar and my setup but that's because i'm not a huge audiophile. It does great but is no replacement for a proper 5.1/7.1 setup.

To let others know I don't like them. I stated why I didn't like them, and I gave a source so others could check it out and make their own informed opinion, and then either take my advice and stay away or ignore it and get the TV anyway after having seen the facts. Is that not what this forum is for?

You cannot win with these Vizio apologists. I said essentially the same as you in the 58" thread, only to hear how it's a great value… except much better TVs are the same price, so by definition it can't be…

Yeah, Vizio makes some other decent/good sets, this just ain't one of them, it is weak in almost every category besides native contrast ratio, but most VA panels excel at that so it doesn't really win points there either imo.
We just boxed one of these back up to return to Sam's Club. I can't stand having all the preloaded apps and there's no way to have good parental control over this tv.

Well.... Vizio TVs make great home theater displays but it is best to use an external streaming device.
