It is rare, but it happens. My kid was vaccinated and still got chickenpox.

Just an FYI. Not a discussion on vaccines.
Not tested on Animals, but made of Animals. First ingredient is Tallowate. Most soaps are, but I know a lot of people may not know this and may want to know.
Too bad they don't have a self-righteous backseat parent vaccine. Just saying.

The normal price for these should be $.70.

More reason to stop shopping there, IMO.
I totally agree. Dollar Tree is no longer a good deal for many of their products. Amazon and Dollar General have better prices on some of those things previously a good deal at Dollar Tree. I don't approve of their price hike and disregard for customers.

I used to be able to buy this soap locally, but for some reason no one carries this particular Yardley variety. So I checked good old Amazon, and there it was.

First, let me explain that I have always had dry sensitive skin! I have tried many so called "sensitive skin" products and not for my skin. So when I find a product that really works, I stay with it. The bars last a long time, they don't turn to mush like some soaps made for sensitive skin. The secret combination for me are products with Shea butter and buttermilk, or goats milk.

This soap by Yardley is the only one I have found with that combination. It lathers well, very creamy, and I always receive compliments about my skin, which is wrinkle free and soft. I am 80 years old, which often surprises people.

I hope that I will be able to continue purchasing this product.

I mean you really can't blame them. At some point inflation would catch up to this chain.

In 35 years they've been in business, inflation has existed. They didn't raise the price due to inflation, it's due to pressure from their investors.

"The company said the higher price point is a permanent move, and not the result of "short-term or transitory market conditions," according to MarketWatch:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www....1637675433

"Lifting the one-dollar constraint represents a monumental step for our organization and we are enthusiastic about the opportunity to meaningfully improve our shoppers' experience and unlock value for our stakeholders," Witynski said."

- AKA more money in investors pockets.

All this inflation talk and yet record profits for everyone, interesting...

Well, it's not like they Haven't increased prices through the years. They have. They've just done it by selling smaller and smaller items. But this recent move puts items literally at a price point higher than their mainstream competitors.

DS also has a limited selection to begin with. I used to stop in there during a shopping trip, in addition to going to another store because certain items I would buy there and it was on the way. But I've stopped going now and just buy the items on sale at Kroger.

Yeah, but FWIW, party supplies, Hallmark Cards and Balloons even at $1.25, you can't beat it!

Dollar Tree got us 2 ways- They shrunk the size for most of the products I bought and increased the price. As others here have mentioned, there are now better options.

The last half dozen times I have went in Dollar Tree I have left with nothing...

Dollar store 25% increase is extortion and profiteering.
Will shop elsewhere as much as possible.

It's not really "extortion." If the people going in there have half a brain, they will figure out they should be going somewhere else. Unfortunately, I think many of them have 1/4.

Doesn't anger me anymore than going elsewhere for sodas when Super America recently raised the price way up. I'll just choose not to buy there again and go to their competition. Capitalism doesn't work if consumers do not change their buying habits.
