Lol, is this a thing? I know my sister mostly use body washes but I always felt like the tried and true bar soap made more sense and was more economical and less waste in the long run.
$5.99? These are 3 for $4 at my Walmart.
Not vegan, in case that matters to anyone. I am not vegan personally but soap is one of those things I only buy if vegan; just never understood why something we use to clean our bodies needs to have animal products in it.

i have enjoyed this brand called Shugar Soapworks which i can get for $1.25 per 5 oz bar at the Dollar Tree (Charcoal Eucalyptus is my favorite scent but I enjoy the other ones too). it is vegan, made in the USA, and only has like 7 ingredients which is fewer than a lot of soaps. i can't speak to whether there's anything bad in those 7 or so ingredients but it being vegan is a good enough start for me until i do the research on the other ingredients.

For comparison, Dove beauty bars are 3.75-oz.

Also available via Subscribe & Save, so might make an excellent "filler" item to get to 5 subscriptions for the month.

Just now noticed that Yardley London soaps are made in the USA! I guess I always presumed they were imported, but no. (Also, not tested on animals, yay.)

Wow, bar soap. Like taking a time machine back in time. I didn't even know people still used the stuff.

If you're genuinely curious why there's animal products in it, you should look up the history of soap! It's a combination of an oil and an alkaline base. Historically a great source of oil was whale blubber, which was mixed with wood ashes. Going farther back, the Roman's actually used goat fat as a base for their soap
