Electronics used to be unlimited but too many people took advantage and abused the hell of it, so they implemented the 90 day. You betcha they're going to clamp down further in the future as people continue to abuse the return system.

I'm so glad that these are popping up more regularly now - I hope the majority of scalpers take a loss.

I am, however, happy I bought the Walmart stand-alone console over this. All in all, this isn't a bad price for the hardware that you're getting and is a much easier-to-swallow deal than the stupid bloated bundles everyone has been doing as of late (including Microsoft Store). That said, if you're like me (have owned all of the MS consoles, including a One), you already have plenty of "extra" controllers and don't care to plop an extra $50 down just for S&Gs.

I mean... Let's be honest when it comes to an extra controller - the glory days of local multiplayer (NES, GEN, SNES, N64) have been long gone... Sure, we had OG Xbox and so we all fondly remember local Halo 1 deathmatches - but sadly those days have passed. Nowadays very few games even support local multiplayer that aren't youth-targeting games. An extra controller is just a really expensive way to address dead batteries for most adult console owners (a HUGE percentage of who is buying these stupid bundles)... So - DEATH TO FORCED BUNDLES!

You just think that it's no questions asked. Analytics about stuff like this get stored in the system and scrutinized by people at corporate who get paid way more than the customer service people accepting the returns. These people then analyze the impact of returns on Costco's financials and make policy recommendations. So a one-off return like this won't make a difference on its own, but a few hundred thousand of one-off returns like this will.

Finally costco has it too, I was waiting for it because of the 4 yr warranty.

BTW the walmart one bought with the costco card also has 3 ys of warranty, the extension is not exclusive to costco.

I'm still not buying because I have too many controllers already.

I keep seeing posts from people saying "I got Game Pass Ultimate for $1 a month" or "I got 3 years of GPU for just $1". Either there is something I am absolutely missing which is my fault completely or they're just inaccurately describing the conversion method. I hate when people don't actually explain that it's 3 years of Xbox Live Gold subscription that's been converted for $1 or $14.99. Or a $1 trial of GPU.
