I've been looking at ebikes and this jumped out. Sure, it's a copy of the VanMoof S3 ($2500) but is better imo because it has 1. Removable battery 2. Belt drive vs chain 3. Doesn't require you to go to VanMoof for service. And it's $1k cheaper with free shipping.

500W motor.
Class 2 eBike. Class 3 = helmets required. However, it's a good idea to wear one no matter what class.
I'll second that precautionary advice. On a downhill trail, I let myself go too fast and wiped out, hitting the side of my head on the asphalt. The foam in my helmet cracked and split in four different places. It protected my head and kept my face from making contact as well. I would have been seriously scarred and injured but for that helmet. Best $30 I ever spent. Now, I never go without a helmet.

A family member was racing in France, fully protected, wiped out on a downhill. A week coma and a lot is skin grafting. Doesn't sound that fun.

Moral of the story: don't go to France.
I can't imagine a crash that bad. I crashed on a trail, going fairly slow actually, wearing a helmet. 22 stitches above my eye. Blood everywhere. My buddy was with me. We both couldn't stop laughing all while trying to stop the bleeding. Maybe a full face helmet would have helped.
