Those are amazing. I have had them for 6 months. Compact and bright. The ones i have in the bathroom are bright enough where i dont even need to turn on the light when i just need to grab some things

Exactly! The only downside is that my daughter likes warm white while we like cool white so different parts of the house have different color temps!

You probably can do that with some red paper or thin plastic. Craft stores maybe reuse packaging.

I have these, bought from Lowes for ~$12 for a 2 pack. They are quite dim which works well for my use in the nursery but I wouldn't use them for any foot path illumination.
