While lower price for HD, DTO's sale price is about $15 less.

Incorrect, the ones from Dto that are Factory Blemished qualify for LSA. Most recent sale was $32. DTO's site specifically says that factory blemished qualifies for LSA, I have also experienced this first hand with products purchased from Dto and registered and approved for LSA.

I've kept my eye on this waiting for a better deal.

$49 is HD's regular "sale" price.

DTO's sale price is usually lower, around $30, but by the time their usual $10 shipping is factored in, the advantage shrinks to a $10 difference.

It's up to the individual's price sensitivity whether that $10 qualifies it as unbeatable, but there's also something to be said for the instant gratification of just grabbing one at HD, and having 90 days to change your mind, vs. waiting a week for DTO to ship and the friction of remote customer service.

Personally, I'm waiting for DTO's next good sale with free shipping to see what that cost will be, though there are no guarantees due to the way they game prices during sale periods.

There are no issues registering DTO blems for the LSA, I've done it.

But keep in mind that while many of Ridgid's tools are eligible for LSA coverage, some are not, regardless of where they were purchased.

Return and rebuy, you have 90 days. I've done it with their knowledge.

Buy the new one first and return it using the old receipt? Net is still the same.

Waited three weeks for DTO to ship an item. Had to cancel the order because DTO had no idea when it would ship and I was leaving the country for a couple months..

The last dto sale I linked to was free shipping, $32 + taxes.

I really wish they'd make a duplicate of the Ryobi one in the Ridgid line. It's usually the other way around, but for this one it seems like the Ryobi is the better tool unless you need the smaller form factor. I have been considering jumping into the crazy extensive Ryobi line anyway (I'm particular I know their glue gun and inflator are both great)...

Just figured I'd mention it in case anyone who's in the Ryobi line wants a bit of an upgrade.

Cyber Monday was $28 with free shipping and that was the lowest I have seen. Don't know if that is going to happen again but may worth the wait for the next sale to come around if you are not in a rush.

have this and it's great for topping off bike tires and not having to drag out the air hose for the cars.
