Not sure about the downvoting. This Laptop is same as the Maingear Vector Pro 17, available from Microcenter.
This Laptop is one of the most thinnest and lightest 17.3" Gaming laptops with full powered Graphics card. This weights just 5 lbs which is lower than most full sized 15.6 and 16 inch gaming laptops. But because of that, it does not sacrifice on any performance. The CPU can consume over 70W, the GPU is a full powered RTX 3070, up to 140W, has a huge 92 WHr battery, per key RGB, MUX Switch, literally everything you see in the premium laptops costing hundreds of dollar more.

Just ordered one using the free shipping option for $1,623.70 USD. Seems like a steal for what you get compared to the popular Dell and Lenovo models that both have various thermal issues or don't provide enough power to take advantage of the full GPU at about the same price.

Key features for myself.
17in screen (better for 1440p)
Lightweight compared to other popular models (5lbs)
Additional M.2 Slot
Mux controls
Full powered GPU (Lenovo and Dell have models that don't provide enough power and gimp the GPU performance)
Windows 10

Have huge interest with their new watercooled 2022 version. Based on some reviews(dave2d, Jarrod) if it's working properly, it's both insane silent and powerful.

Looks like their gen-11 11800H version also same price: https://www.eluktronics.com/max17...12ssd-16r/

If you're not into battery time, gen 11 is a better choice all around than crippled zen 3 laptop cpu, especially those games favor single or few core performance. in my own testing gen 11 could boost 30-40% better low 99% fps compare to zen3 on fast pace shooter games. It's a huge improvement compare to average fps.

Never really looked into this brand. Anyone know how easy it is to add 16gb more of ram? Alot of these new games use upto 14-15gb or ram.

It has two slots which you can upgrade by opening the back panel.

Can you name those games for which you're having 30-40% better low 99% fps, just by using 11th gen Intel compared to Zen 3?

Source? As someone who has owned multiple 5900hx and 11800h laptops, I can confidently say playing at 1440p with a 3070 you will notice the difference in maybe a handful of games. Even then, pretending like one will be massively better is just asanine. 11800h is a great gaming cpu and I'd probably choose it because I don't need the battery life. But calling the 5900hx 'crippled' is the height of hyperbole

Owned this. Only issues imo are a mediocre keyboard and poor speakers. If those don't matter to you, this is a HELLUVA deal

Same thoughts here and this guy is exaggerating like hell by saying 30% to 40% 99th Percentile difference. In fact, in 1440p, difference between 5900HX and 11800H is very marginal when paired with same GPU with same TGP as GPU matters most on those resolution. In 1080p, in some games, 11800P is slightly ahead but that's nothing to be bragged out.
Anyway, I asked him to name some of those games which are 30-40% better with 11800H compared to 5900HX...lets see what he comes up with.

I was hesitant before buying this laptop ( from Cyberpower ) but I pulled the trigger and bought it. A really nice machine, the only downsides were relatively high Cpu temps and the keyboard was a little bit shallow. repasted with LM and look and behold temps never reached 75 with 40 watts on the CPU and 135 watts on the GPU
it crashed a few times after I bought it, turned out to be a GPU driver's problem

Do you have a preference between the two chips? I am curious if I should cancel my order and get a different chip.

*Eluktronics offers free items depending on how much you spend on your purchase. Not 100% sure this works with the discounted laptops but worth a shot.

If Thunderbolt 3 is not required by you (If yes then Intel is the only choice as Ryzen 5000 doesn't support it) then my preference is Ryzen 5000, especially in these kind of Thin & Light Laptops. Ryzen 7 5800H/ Ryzen 9 5900HX offer similar performance of an 11th Gen i7 and i9 but do that in lot less power and generates a lot less heat which is very important for this kind of Thin & Light laptops, not having enough space for putting bigger and heavier cooling solutions.
Also, for normal usage, Ryzen Laptops provide way superior battery life and that can be almost double of an Intel Laptop with same Display and battery capacity. The difference is over 3 hours to 4 hours which make Ryzen Laptops to be used like a Laptop, not juts plugged in. Also, since Ryzen Processors are power efficient, in battery mode, where the amount of power goes to CPU, is restricted to preserve battery, they always perform better than Intel 11th Gen in Battery.
Intel 11th Gen can outperform Ryzen 5000H series Chips when they are provided with 70W+ sustained power to the CPU but that is only possible with bigger and thicker laptops with very beefy cooling solutions.

Thank you for the thorough explanation. I think I will stick with the Ryzen 9 59000HX model. I like things to stay nice and cool. The power efficiency seems to be a way better solution. I saw the benchmarks for the single-core performance difference on the 11800H CPU in games and it wasn't much over the 5900HX anyway. Most games were still very close to the same performance.

Can confirm that the free offer works for discounted laptops! Recently bought a laptop from them passing the $500 offer threshold but forgot to add the free HDMI 2.1 cable to my cart before completing the order. I messaged customer service with my order number requesting to add the free HDMI 2.1 cable, and they replied pretty quickly that the cable was now added to the order. I'm happy with the MAX-15 I ordered, so far.

Good to hear!! I am gonna see if they will let me add something small to my order ($1499) to get that keyboard at $1500 or more. I need a new one anyway. I'll post back if they will allow me to or not on Monday.
