Potential buyers beware, Amazon is pretty notorious for delivering MTG card packs that have been already opened with the rarer cards removed/replaced. It's been an ongoing issue for quite some time now.

Hmm, this is pretty decent considering a few cards from the set have picked up value with the release of NEO and the spread of value is good for a MTG set. The full art lands and dual lands are pretty consistent value from packs so overall you stand to make your money back. The fact you do have a chance at the $100 lottery card is nice on top of usually one decent list pull makes it a good value proposition. Nice find, though I'm not supporting paper MTG this year in protest of the over-saturation of product.

Picked this up for 39.99 last week for fun- price matching Amazon's price at Target. I like opening packs every so often while sipping an adult beverage on a warm day.

Considering this comes with a collector's booster, it certainly isn't a bad deal. I don't resell cards really, but I easily pulled the price in cards from just the set boosters. Plus, I got three of the Dracula cards in the collector booster, and those are pretty neat. I hope they bring in classic lit more often.

Now, I'm making another mediocre commander deck with a bunch of them (and with another ten dollars spent on TCG...).

Does their pretty lenient return policy work just as well on magic cards? Most of the time, they'll just have you keep the product, and just send you another. Worse case if they keep sending you opened product, they will refund you i feel like.

Is this happening with production shipped and sold by Amazon or 3rd parties. Seems like any Amazon sold product should still be in a sealed box.

This is crimson vow. No lottery card. The full set lands are not worth that much either. You are probably thinking of neon dynasty?

Amazon mixes up inventory from different sellers so all "new" inventory is suspect.

I don't buy anything with a high chance of counterfeiting there for that reason. Micro SD cards, rechargeable lithium batteries, etc.

It's happened on "sealed" products. Basically people get to return stuff without it being checked. I've received boxes without boosters personally (and got to return it).

Others have complained about receiving opened boosters. IMO just go to a local game store (generally cheaper than box stores) or if you want the absolute lowest price it's probably eBay from known sellers.

Generous return policies essentially open the door for people trying to cheat the system with fringe products like these collectibles.

I think they're referring to the foil showcase Sorin, the Mirthless with art by Ayami Kojima (famous for her work on Castlevania).

Mint copies are $100+ on TCG Player.

I started playing this when it was beta and stop when 4th edition came out because of college. I still have like 2000-3000 of those cards somewhere in the garage. All in near mint condition, because I played with sleeves on them. I do have plenty of sort after cards like dual lands, moxs and a lotus. I do miss playing those back in middle school.

Well assuming they are NM then there is your retirement. I'd be digging those out ASAP.
