Potential buyers beware, Amazon is pretty notorious for delivering MTG card packs that have been already opened with the rarer cards removed/replaced. It's been an ongoing issue for quite some time now.

Hmm, this is pretty decent considering a few cards from the set have picked up value with the release of NEO and the spread of value is good for a MTG set. The full art lands and dual lands are pretty consistent value from packs so overall you stand to make your money back. The fact you do have a chance at the $100 lottery card is nice on top of usually one decent list pull makes it a good value proposition. Nice find, though I'm not supporting paper MTG this year in protest of the over-saturation of product.

Which one would you recommend? Gift for my nephew!

If he plays a lot, probably Midnight Hunt or Kaldheim. If he plays for fun, Adventures in the Forgotten Realms has some of the coolest cards and mechanics ever, and is a lot of fun. Either way, you're a super cool aunt!

Somewhat new to the rl aspect rather than MTGA. Would something like this have enough cards to build a decent playable deck or would you need other outside cards and lands?

I think they're referring to the foil showcase Sorin, the Mirthless with art by Ayami Kojima (famous for her work on Castlevania).

Mint copies are $100+ on TCG Player.

Wait which one is worth $100+?

I started playing this when it was beta and stop when 4th edition came out because of college. I still have like 2000-3000 of those cards somewhere in the garage. All in near mint condition, because I played with sleeves on them. I do have plenty of sort after cards like dual lands, moxs and a lotus. I do miss playing those back in middle school.
PM me if you want to sell them please! Can Venmo or PayPal (or whatever method you prefer) you as soon as today!

4th edition. That's Revised to those of us who picked it up in '94. Sell or Hold but get em in some hard plastic.

I played Revised (3rd) and 4th Ed, I miss my old cards. Friends have been trying to get me back into it and I've purchased some new stuff, but it's not quite the same. I hope you still have those old cards. Would be a blast to go back through them and drop them into some protectors.

Card Shop Live (Channel Fireball related site that sells their sealed product) has Crimson Vow Draft Booster Box for $69.99. Probably the cheapest you'll see Draft Booster Boxes.

https://cardshoplive.com/products...ooster-box

Edit: Just realized you'll probably have to buy 2 to get free shipping from them.

fyi the value on the packs - 8 set and 1 collector boosters are just about $40 for this, not counting any of the extras.
for gifting this is pretty nice since the packins are sort of interesting.
just know that you cant draft or play sealed with these, for that the draft boxes are the way to go.

with all that, ill probably pickup 2x from gamestop, i do like the dual lands in this set... dont expect a ton of value, not a whole lot of chase rares in this one.

btw theme in this set is vampires if yer into that kind of thing.

Yep, and suckers were paying $200+ for it at launch. Whenever I do open product at launch, I immediately sell everything I'm not keeping for myself. It's ridiculously rare anything modern will appreciate in value after the first two weeks so holding anything is just lost money.

Magic was popular at a local bookstore in 1993 where I grew up. I stopped playing in 1994 and got rid of my decks. I couldn't believe how valuable they became afterwards.

TLDR: Mine was messed with and I'm returning it.

I bought multiple bundles of the pre-made commander decks that have popped up on here from time to time from various sets. They come in factory boxes, and there are deck lists to check that you got all the cards you were supposed to. I even recently and hesitantly bought a Commander Legends booster box I was relieved to see the Wizards logo, but only on the top half?? Also, the cards inside didn't appear to be tampered with and the pulls I got more than made up for the box, so I was confident it was legit.

A quick search on YouTube for various reputable channels showed me that's how they come. (Why only the top half?), and then found articles that there are people selling fake shrink wrap with the top half logo .. WTF?!?! .. .. .. AND that some local game stores fill their stock by buying from places like Amazon, so that's not comforting at all.

So for this deal, seeing this price , how much the collector booster goes for on its own, the box and die and because gambling on packs is fun I bought one and it came the next day.

It didn't have any wizards logo, but again a quick YouTube search showed that this set doesn't have them. (Why not put them on all their stuff?!).

It was nicely sealed on the outside, but when I popped it open the ONLY booster that wasn't even attempted to be resealed was the collector one. It was left wide open from the back with complete garbage inside. Requested a refund, and am going to box it up even though they don't want you to because I'm sure stuff will go missing along the way if not.

On a side note, I know eBay is known to have tons of counterfeit cards, but I recently went on a tear and bought a ton of singles and after searching picked this jeweler's loupe up to pretend to know what I'm doing when I get cards in. I'm mainly using it to look for the L shaped red dot constellation within the green dot on the back of the cards but sometimes they're faint or even missing but it's that way for other cards I know are legit from the same series, so I compare other things like the set symbol, the border and the lettering. I also pretend to know what I'm doing there too, but so far in all my auctions I only picked up on a really suspect set of cards and the seller refunded my money and told me to keep them. Amazing the things people will eat to not get a bad rating to ruin their scams.

Jeweler's Loupe direct link to the product no referral or anything, and it's $2 cheaper than when I bought it two weeks ago.

Wizards should ship direct to customers again(another google search showed they must have done this in the past and stopped in 2018 .. why??)
