If he plays a lot, probably Midnight Hunt or Kaldheim. If he plays for fun, Adventures in the Forgotten Realms has some of the coolest cards and mechanics ever, and is a lot of fun. Either way, you're a super cool aunt!
Mint copies are $100+ on TCG Player.
Wait which one is worth $100+?

for gifting this is pretty nice since the packins are sort of interesting.
just know that you cant draft or play sealed with these, for that the draft boxes are the way to go.
with all that, ill probably pickup 2x from gamestop, i do like the dual lands in this set... dont expect a ton of value, not a whole lot of chase rares in this one.
btw theme in this set is vampires if yer into that kind of thing.

Jk, I know this is an exception, not the norm

I bought multiple bundles of the pre-made commander decks that have popped up on here from time to time from various sets. They come in factory boxes, and there are deck lists to check that you got all the cards you were supposed to. I even recently and hesitantly bought a Commander Legends booster box I was relieved to see the Wizards logo, but only on the top half?? Also, the cards inside didn't appear to be tampered with and the pulls I got more than made up for the box, so I was confident it was legit.
A quick search on YouTube for various reputable channels showed me that's how they come. (Why only the top half?), and then found articles that there are people selling fake shrink wrap with the top half logo .. WTF?!?! .. .. .. AND that some local game stores fill their stock by buying from places like Amazon, so that's not comforting at all.
So for this deal, seeing this price , how much the collector booster goes for on its own, the box and die and because gambling on packs is fun I bought one and it came the next day.
It didn't have any wizards logo, but again a quick YouTube search showed that this set doesn't have them. (Why not put them on all their stuff?!).
It was nicely sealed on the outside, but when I popped it open the ONLY booster that wasn't even attempted to be resealed was the collector one. It was left wide open from the back with complete garbage inside. Requested a refund, and am going to box it up even though they don't want you to because I'm sure stuff will go missing along the way if not.
On a side note, I know eBay is known to have tons of counterfeit cards, but I recently went on a tear and bought a ton of singles and after searching picked this jeweler's loupe up to pretend to know what I'm doing when I get cards in. I'm mainly using it to look for the L shaped red dot constellation within the green dot on the back of the cards but sometimes they're faint or even missing but it's that way for other cards I know are legit from the same series, so I compare other things like the set symbol, the border and the lettering. I also pretend to know what I'm doing there too, but so far in all my auctions I only picked up on a really suspect set of cards and the seller refunded my money and told me to keep them. Amazing the things people will eat to not get a bad rating to ruin their scams.
Jeweler's Loupe direct link to the product no referral or anything, and it's $2 cheaper than when I bought it two weeks ago.

Wizards should ship direct to customers again(another google search showed they must have done this in the past and stopped in 2018 .. why??)
