Amazon has them in the $70s new.
Many Americans dont want to pay the made in america prices. (Not all buy the majority) this causes COMPANIES to lower the cost of their products to compete in the market and that offten mean sourcing from a low cost country.
I work with Chinese manufacturers daily, have visited and audited many manufacturers in China. China has the capability to produce very high quality products! And many really strive to do so, The problem is with outsourcing to China in the first place. Why do we do it? To lower the cost of the product to increase the company's revenue or to provide the customer with a cost competitive alternative. We beat the China manufacturers to get the cost lower and lower.. we typically want the cost of the product to be 50% less than it cost us to make it in the USA. This is because we still have to pay export fees and tariffs of 25-35%. So we have to push these suppliers to become extremely efficient and often still the only way to get the cost down is to reduce non value added things like inspection it costs more to inspect every item so sampling is done.
What do you think the quality of a products from the USA would be if the COMPANY had to produce the same product at half the cost?
In China , when a supplier becomes extremely good at producing a product the cost goes up because more inspection is done nonconforming materials are scrapped and this increases their cost. The COMPANY now sends out bids to find another manufacturer with a lower cost and the process starts all over. I have seen it over and over again.

With all that said, I've been doing the best I can to buy American for the last couple years, particularly the last year or so, there is a cold war between us and China, and they have ALL the cards. Some products simply cannot be purchased from American companies that manufacture in the USA. It's a shame. I would be willing to pay 50% more for some items, and I hope the majority of Americans can get behind that considering the consequences of continuing this philosophy of manufacturing everything in China.

It's still high quality. I have this "All-Clad made in China" stock pot [costco.com] and I can't tell the difference between that and my American made All-Clad that I paid a lot for.
ALL-Clad is the best! Buy it and enjoy it.
