About this deal:
Our research indicates that at the time of this post, that Jamo S 809 Dolby Atmos Floorstanding Speaker (Pair) is $187 lower (~29.9% savings) than the next best available price from a reputable merchant with prices starting from $625.
In the title it does say atmos speakers. But in the description it's 'atmos ready'.. s809 are the regular floor speakers without the atmos add ons. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's a BIG misleading mistake for adorama and for SDers.
I just got these from a package from Adorama. I'm in the middle of a lengthy and very frustrating exchange process because I was sent open speakers, marked as new that were missing the grills. And since they were opened the styrofoam was not structurally sound and the speakers took a lot of big hits during the UPS delivery. This was all after calling immediately after delivery and having the UPS driver on video admitting the box was beat to hell when he got on his truck for the delivery. Their exchange/return process is very frustrating. Still waiting for my new speakers which "this request is still subject for approval".
TLDR; I'm not happy with Adorama and their customer service if you run into issues.
For the money, these can't be beat. I've got these, the matching center channel, and the bookshelf surrounds. I bought these to tide me over until I finish my budget/planning on my $10k home theater system, and I was extremely impressed.
I never would've given this brand a shot were it not for the deep discount. So instead of the company spending crazy money on advertising that may or may not work, some brands will sell sets cheaply on occasion to deal shoppers or home theater enthusiasts like me. The word of mouth and ability for friends and customers to hear my system is better advertising than ads would be, in my opinion.

What's the difference between this and other premium more expensive speakers like bowers & wilkins 700 series which is like 10 times more expensive? I guess it's a subjective question but do they sound at least twice better while 10 times more expensive? I'm new and these price seems good but if I get this, would i end up investing more premium speakers down the road?
It's a good brand. Anybody know how good or bad these are? The discount seems steep.

So I bought a fully set of Jamo 2+ years back. The towers I have only have 2 tweeters in the middle and the one brown one up top. I have never been disappointed once with my set up. However I have everything. You will not be disappointed with this purchase in my option. I can't comment on it though if you use these towers by themselves.

Search slickdeals and you'll see dozens of threads with hundreds of comments. The general sentiment is that these are a terrific value but true audiophiles will find all kinds of issues with them. They are also available in packages from Adorama which you'll see if you do a quick search. I will be buying these whether this deal or a package yet I don't know. I will combine them with the S803s by Jamo.

The B&W speakers are going to sound better, but depending on your budget, not 10x better. Any person who only wants to spend a grand or two on all their speakers will be impressed. Anyone who wants to spend LOTS of money on their system will know the difference between these and the expensive stuff. Do these sound excellent for the money? Absolutely. I'd recommend them.

I have roughly a 20k home theater in my basement (srp, realistically, 10k). I have these combined with the matching center & sub in my family room and find them perfectly adequate. Is that setup as good as the Klipsch rf-83 setup in my basement, no. But for the money, I'm not sure what competes. I was very confused when the UPS guy delivered the towers in a single box thinking they forgot a box...2 towers weigh less than my basement center...but overall, happy with them. If you're new to home theater, these are what I would call a gateway drug.

great speakers, but as a set (separate boxes) arrived looking like they had been shipped around the world. if you can you might want to try to meet the ups guy at time of delivery just in case they are actually damaged so you can refuse delivery right away.

You are 100% correct should say Atmos already.
