Porting Out
The port-out PIN is no longer 123456, neither is it the 4-digit PIN on your Account Settings page.
You have to call customer service, 833-502-6678, to get the 6-digit Port-Out PIN.
The number to be ported will need to be reachable.

EDIT: the website link where you order the $0.99 trial sim even says service doesn't start until you activate. My SIM card is still in the original package. This company is SHADY AF.
Don't bother to buy it.
I didn't need it immediately either so I didn't activate yet, and you can bet I'll never try boost again in the future. My sim is still in its original package unused.

EDIT: MarkD5170 has good advice in post #207 for those who don;t plan to use their account after 30 days and that is to delete your CC info from your account.
I'm near Chicago and sim shipped from Plainfield, Indiana
Seems like they have gotten their act together.

I appreciate your comment, but I'm just saying people shouldn't be required to follow a slickdeals thread for this kind of information after their purchases. Boost Mobile wasn't upfront with it on their order page, so it's a pretty shady business practice. If I had removed my billing info then the pre activated service would have expired without me using it anyways, so it's not like I would have later gotten the deal promised in the first place. I hate companies that pull this kind of BS.
How many people these days are sitting around with zero service ready to activate immediately the moment they order? All other carriers give you at least a reasonable amount of time to activate an ordered sim. It's not like I walked into their store.
