Big fraud. I bought one. They will start the billing cycle without activation from day your order. For activation they need unlocked mobile phone and then they will lock that phone to boost mobile for 12 months. To unlock that mobile again you need to be with boost mobile for 12 months. Its a scam… dont get into it..

We have to call their customer support to request the port out PIN which cost us 30 minutes on average.

Boost has made it totally not obvious how to turn off autopay but I finally figured it out. You have to start a chat with their bot. type in 'autopay'. you'll see a button to 'cancel autopay'. once you click that, the browser switches to a screen where the autopay can be toggled off. I did that and got an email confirmation that autopay has been removed from my account.

This is another really sneaky thing that Boost is doing to wring money out of people.
Thanks to you, it took 2 seconds for me to disable autopay.

What if we don't port out and leave the automatic payment off? Do they still try to charge us, or does the account automatically close?

Calling in to cancel could take an hour and nobody has time for that
So is it confirmed that the only way to cancel is to call customer service and waste an hour?

Or port-out the number. It seems like this is one of the cheaper options to have a portable number, so some people are using it for that.

Hi huge,

You absolutely can turn off auto pay and not worry about charges going through if you don't want to call care. I do recommend removing your card on file if you do this as you you can never be to careful. After a couple weeks we will automatically close the account. However if you do want to port out you will need to call care.

BEWARE - I started this trial. Before the month was up, I deleted my credit card information and ported out. They've charged me 3 months in a row now. I called them repeatedly and am told that I don't have an account with them so they can't stop the charge. I've had to call my credit card 4 times already concerning the issue. Finally filed an FCC complaint today. This trial had turned into an absolute headache for me. Still fighting...

Tried to activate on the web. After validating infos, it just says " something went wrong"

What should I do?

I had the same issue. After a long trouble shooting session with customer service, I was told that they will send me a new SIM card.

I tried two unlocked iphones and got the same error.

Hey Everyone,

We were made aware that there is an issue with activations currently on my.boostmobile.com which extend back to Monday of last week. Our team here has been working day and night to get this back up and running. Thank you for your patience!

I just activate my number, by simply inserting the sim card to the Iphone.

When I check the Boost online account, it has $25.xx due on August 1st. If I cancel the service before that, Do I still need to pay for the balance?
