I thought it was on sale for $170 not $270 but I could be wrong.
I thought it had a CPU Passmark Score of over 11,000.
The one in this thread scores over 9.000.

Doesn't look like it's an IPS display. Good price, but this HP line is pretty entry level build quality. Display is disappointing but expected at this price point.
I find backlit keyboard to be about the least significant spec on a laptop, ymmv.
Doesn't say power delivery, which again isn't surprising at this price, at least it has usb-c.
If you're looking for 15.6 you could do worse. I wouldn't buy because of the display, but I think this is a good deal, TU.

People were also going crazy over the CPU in the target deal, same CPU as this unit 4c/8t. Most seem convinced they need the cores, me OTOH, I'm all about the display and this one don't got it. December target deal had IPS but it wasn't a great display either.
