This seems like a generic laptop to surf the web. The specs seem really low along with the storage.

Do you even know what i3-1125G4 even means?
That's not your standard core i3 processor.
You're getting an 11th gen 4-core processor for that price. Plus, you can easily upgrade the RAM and storage.

The processor is indeed good. Research indicates this laptop may throttle power to it though so you may not get full potential.

That said this is $20 cheaper than 55+ voted SD deal earlier this year here

Does this laptop have a backlit keyboard? The pictures show the keyboard has the key to turn it on and off but that's probably a stock photo. Under the reviews people say the keyboard is horrible to use because you can't see the keys so I'm guessing it doesn't. Does anyone know?

As far as I know, no it does not.
Also, for anyone curious the display is 250-nits 45% NTSC. The RAM is 2666MHz.

This is the spec sheet for this model. Since the spec says nothing about the backlit keyboard, it is likely that this model does not come with one.

I have basically an identical HP model to this, except mine comes with a Ryzen 3 CPU. And it does not have a backlit keyboard.

I bought one and the RAM was 3200. It had a single 8GB stick. So depends on the supplies they have at the moment.

You can't easily upgrade the RAM and storage. I own this. You have to gently heat and remove the adhesive for the long rubber feet do you can access the six screws underneath them. Then reapply the adhesive and long feet perfectly when you're finished inside.

ps. this is similar to the one that Costco had for $350 except that one was 14", had Fingerprint sensor, backlit keyboard, and 8GB 3200MHz RAM.

Here's the specs in case anyone is interested. Screen is not IPS, 250-nits 45% sRGB. No FP sensor, no backlit keyboard, no power delivery through USB-C. On the plus side it has Intel Wifi 6 chip. https://support.hp.com/ph-en/document/c08015536

No, you don't have to heat the feet. The rubber feet are glued to a plastic film. You just need to make sure you get underneath the plastic film with a razor blade on the corner and pull the plastic up with the feet. Then you can easily remove the feet with the plastic film and put them back when your done. If you just remove the feet then it's very hard to get them to fit correctly or stick like they should before you removed them.

I've purchased 3 of these exact model for the small business I work for over the past few months. Also bought 3 more 8 gb ram sticks for each of them and once those are in these things are great for what they are. Charging is still via barrel plug and screen is ok at best but for $350 it's a solid machine in my opinion.

You might also want to look at i5-1135g7 model Adorama has on sale (refurbished shown as used) on eBay, own website and perhaps on Walmart as well for 300. Much better overall than this imo
