If you're a member, Costco has large bags for $0.38 an ounce. Albertsons regularly sells smaller bags cracked but not shelled ones around here for 0.25.

Thanks OP! I placed three separate orders, so just two more items will get me to 15% for my delivery next month.

No shells. Salt and pepper was on sale for $4 off when I was there a week ago.

If for snack, I would prefer shelled. The texture, crunchiness is well preserved. Last time I had these they were bit shrunk and soft and didn't taste good (not stale though). I think I understood why as the shells were preserving the crunchiness. These may be good for salads or desserts (shredded).

I purchased these. Came out to about $4.66/lb, I believe.

As to shelled vs. unshelled, I once weighted a bag of shells from a 1lb bag. It came out to just under 1/2 lb.

Shelled are certainly easier to munch on. But to me, they never taste as good as when you shell them yourself. I suspect they cook them differently, probably shelling them before cooking.

The Costco Salt and Pepper version was not good IMHO. The regular salted variety at Costco is good, but shelled.

In for a few on this deal for the low salt variety.

I bought 4 bags and the coupon worked for all of them. Paid a total of $13.20 with 15% s&s discount. Not bad for 24 ounces with no shells.
