Tried to read the article, but the site just scrolled through 4 articles, literally on its own, each time showing that I'd read 1/4 free articles, then 2/4, etc. Finally there was a pop up telling me I needed a subscription to read more.
This may seem pedantic to some, but as a person who's trying to adhere to a keto diet, I'd love to know why 28g of lightly salted pistachios have 8g total carbs (5g net,) and 28g of salt & vinegar pistachios have 6g total carbs (3g net.)
The only thing that really matters is if our resources should be going to these foods rather than others. In that case, almonds are worse. Most 'good' nuts are just as bad. And overall livestock has the worst water, ethical, and environmental impacts of any source of food. Even fruit as a category is quite problematic.
If you want to be super ethical, you eat expensive natively organically grown oats, cereals, vegetables.
I give up meat as a regular thing (will eat clearance, meat served to me on occasions, etc), and so I will keep eating nuts to keep my sanity.

because salt and vinegar don't have carbs. There's also some rounding that goes on with these numbers.

Yes, our media is broken and overly profit focused. We need to fund a free press via unencumbered grants from Taxes. Profit media should not exceed not-for-profit media.
