I'd prefer an actual miniature working version to turn playtime into actual work getting done around the house. Start with a vacuum and move on to a lawnmower.

I have this and my 2 year old loves it. Only downside is it takes 4 C batteries and he leaves it running and leaves the room.

This is a cute toy; however, the little beads will eventually stop moving when a sufficient static charge builds up to suspend them mid-air along the surface of the plastic container. I remedied the issue by spraying a small amount of antistatic fluid into the container. It wasn't easy, as the container was glued on both ends, but I found enough of a gap to get some fluid in there and shake the whole thing around enough to dislodge a few of the beads. Once I had a couple loose, the rest worked their way free as more were able to circulate the chemical.

This is the stuff I used: NOVUS PC-10 Plastic Clean & Shine - 8 Oz. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B002UD0GFE/ still works years later!

I bought this hearing that it actually vacuums, for those like me, who just kind of saw a headline and then see it saying "with working suction" in the product name thinking that it actually does vacuum are in for a bad surprise. I don't think it does anything except making a sound, it might take up like a tiny piece that's as light as air or something but it really does not do anything. So just don't go in thinking that. I was hoping it was a practical learning tool. The way you hold it is also quite weird (handle is top side) and when our toddler holds, the vacuums tilts up in such a way that the bottom front part lifts up too. Hard to explain but it's basically awkward for my kid to hold it.

Overall, was not too happy about it tbh. First one also had a defect where we couldn't assemble, replacement was fine.

Bought one for my grandson 3 years ago, he loved it, now the second one is using it also. Bought one for my apprentices son when he was about 1.5 years old and he would nap with it. His dad sent me a photo he just wouldn't give it up lol

My 3 year old enjoys this toy and yes, "working suction" is a bit of a stretch.

Does it collect light crumbs, dog hair, broken leaves? Yes. The collection bin almost always has something in it.

Is it going to do a good job cleaning your floors? No. Keep your expectations low and remind yourself this is a toy.

You're just re-iterating my point. Thanks!

Not much but it does pull in a small amount of debris or fuzz in the drawer trap

This. This is probably the worst toy that we own.
