This seems like a good deal on a pc with the specs I've been looking for. Any computer guys want to share their thoughts? I'm partial to Dell since I've been using them exclusively since 2002. Was thinking of an all in one but this is tempting for sure

Major thermal issues in this model. CPU temps spike with many tasks. New XPS model seems to have taken this into account and improved case airflow and put a bigger case fan and tower cooler.

At this price point I would be looking for a 3060ti which will make a big difference. And as previously stated this is the old XPS which had bad airflow. I'm guessing they are going to try blowing these out but this price is still inflated.

Nearly all the USB ports on my XPS had issues within a year or two (found similar complaints in their forums) and the optical drive never worked. It's a few iterations old at this point so hopefully they've improved, but it will be a while before I trust a Dell again.

Not a deal anymore considering GPU prices have been coming down. Add to that the Biden administration is temporarily lifting Trump's tariffs from China of certain electronic components until the end of the year. How much if any will it reduce GPU prices even further I couldn't tell you. Hopefully prices doesn't stay comparable to buying an LG OLED TV.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of the issues. My current XPS is from 2012 which is the last time I shopped for a new PC. Not a gamer just looking for a new web surfing machine that can run Win11.

I bought one of these around a month ago. I'm ready to put in the CPU cooler that comes with the 11700k CPU and a VRM heatsink, because at times the CPU package temp runs up to the 180's F.

I did the same thing except I used a Vetroo V5 cooler from Amazon. Under full load my temps rarely exceed 60 degrees now.

What problems you having with USB ports? Problem I have is with USB 2.0 devices. If I eject say a USB 2.0 thumb drive the computer doesn't recognize it again unless I restart the computer. I found a work around by buying a USB 3.0 thumb drive. For some reason USB 3.0 devices work fine.
