Running an overclock on the GPU and CPU (PL disabled in bios) with undervolts at 86C with Kryonaut. Got around 88C with no OC but just UV, stock fan curve.
Fan curves are completely user controllable via MSI software, getting around 65C at max fans, stock fan curves are kind of garbage as they don't ramp up at 100C for some reason.
GPU is 70W + 5W dynamic boost. 180w power supply.
R23: 8800 (PL disabled 4.2ghz)
BF5: 120FPS avg max no rt
Only problem I have with this laptop is that it doesn't fully support XMP and the colors can look washed out if you are a photo editor. Screen is also pretty dim, much worse than your phone.
Ram requires taking apart the whole bottom cover, I used an ifixit toolkit. Repasting was easy, but i saw that the stock thermal paste was dried up despite being a few months old, heatsink was also not perfectly smooth, hence repasting should be effective.
If only for gaming, it works fine.
For my online college lectures and schoolwork, I'm able to run zero fans at 45C.

Great specs for the price though!

How many hours does the battery last in normal activities?
I'm thinking of buying the Alienware M15 R6. It has the same 3 cell battery as yours.

Depends what you mean by normal. I think most gaming laptops will last 1hr with stock settings.
I'm able to get 4hrs with zoom+word+discord+some chrome tabs. Probably 7 hours on just web browsing or video watching.
Note that these are with my tweaks and is likely different from others.
I wouldnt say the battery is good.
