Now that gpu prices are going down, is this really a great deal or just more like a decent average deal?

My daughter actually is. Is there a reason why they do this? If it's something related to helping disabled children, that's awesome and I'd like to share it with some other parents I know.

Still using my Alienware Aurora R7 i7-8700 everyday for gaming (replaced the GTX1080 with RTX3070). These are honestly great machines for the price especially during these video card shortages

Great deal if you can wait 3 weeks for it. Not shipping until mid-April

Seems like overkill for a non-gamer. Is there a good XPS that is out there that would be good for everyday work, Corel Draw, video, mapping apps, etc?

Don't get this unless you have no other option. I ended up replacing that cheap/horrible oven of a case.

I bought the R10 last year only for the 3080. I had to move the cpu/gpu over to a new case, psu, motherboard, ram, fans etc.

Now my only issue is the Dell 3080 hitting a power limit when overclocking.

I'm not sure how diff is R12 from R10, but I will say my old-man eyes thought leaving some of the plastic was fine to avoid scratches because I see cut-out holes on the clear plastic, but upon closer look in bright light I noticed the "cut-out" holes were only partial and removing the entire plastic film was the answer. My system wasn't as hot nor fans kicking in after that. Yes, I'm an idiot, but I just wanted others to be aware as well. I mean the film didn't completely block the vents, but it was still partial blocked.
