Flashlight [amazon.com]
Company claims 1200 lumens but who knows. Definitely looks decent for $12.
I had a $10 coupon on the product page and was able to replicate again so likely widely available.
4.7 out of 5 with >22,000 ratings. Pretty impressive.

Also it's probably not regulated so it will continually lose brightness over time.
Long story short I think most people would be better off with a Sofirn S11C. If you up your budget to 20 or 30 bucks then you'll have a ton of better options. At 12 bucks though your options are limited.
I'd recommend a Wurkkos FC11 for most people, which is $25-30 but includes a rechargeable battery and built-in charging, and produces a far better beam than this product.
Closer to $15 can often get you a Convoy S2+ which has great build quality and lots of customizable options. It doesn't, however, come with a battery, same as this 'deal'.
Here's a list of commonly recommended flashlights, and I'm also happy to answer questions from anyone looking for a light.

EDIT: portezbie mentioned the Sofirn S11C which is not nearly as nice as the Wurkkos FC11 or Sofirn SP31 Pro - but if you don't want to spend more and can wait for shipping from China, it's better than this GearLight. Under $10 shipped, with battery, in the current ali sale.

I will pass though since I did that Coast mystery bag the other day. I will wait for that and hope for something decent.

Wouldn't hesitate at all if it came with an 18650 battery.

I also have more flashlights than I will ever need. Always looking for the one that is just right with flashlights, knives and wallets. Trying to be better at controlling my buying impulses.

I would still take the FC11 which has a nicer beam profile, excellent color rendering, and a lower minimum brightness for $10 more, personally.

I'm interested in a $12 flashlight; I REALLY don't want a dozen alternate options that are better for $20-$30.
Tell us a better alternative for maybe $15, but don't portray this as garbage because something 2-3x the price is better.
4xAA is an interesting option/weight class, especially for those who don't want a rechargeable mess.
