A wall wart power supply almost always (95% or more of the time) will have a barrel connector on the other end of the wire.

It's not a "proprietary" power cable. It uses the same barrel type connector that 95% of low current electronics with removable power cords use.

Let me clarify. I connect my Sony TV's Bluetooth to this device. Then I plug in this device to my receiver/speakers. In other words, just device is receiving the TV's Bluetooth signal.
As long as it has an aux input it should. I personally prefer the homespot one without a battery plugged into the cig lighter. That way it turns off with the ignition. However powering the way I am you likely need a ground loop isolator.
