I have a Synology DS220J NAS that I am using for backups and a couple of surveillance cams. But it only has a license for 2 cams. Wondering if I should get this QNAP with 8 licenses (don't think I need more).
The kicker is I have a Supermicro rack server that I know will work with multiple cams, but I don't have time to learn enough Linux to set it up.

No questions here...just complaints!

I can not stress enough, avoid QNAP at all cost. The company has some terrible customer relations practices and their ongoing security issues are not fun to deal with. If you need further explanation, simply Google "qnap vulnerability ransomware"
