I bought two 5 quart jugs of platinum high mileage 5W-30 and had it shipped to the closest Amazon locker and used the $10 promo code "10OFFPICKUP". After the rebate, I will have paid $5 for 10 quarts of premium oil. Monster deal!

There are maximum limits for additives as part of approvals. For instance, let's say hypothetical for DexOS, that the max amount of Zinc and Phosphorus was 800ppm. If an oil had 900ppm, that would be above the max amount limited by the approval and they wouldn't be granted approval.

For a real-life test specs analysis, this is for the new Dexos1 Gen 3:

This is just regular platinum on some of these; not ultra platinum

I saw a few people who don't think the non ultra was as favorable on synthetic oil tests so don't just assume this is the same as ultra as I did and it's just suddenly much cheaper

I swear they make the names so confusing just to get people to mistakenly buy the inferior item

Rebate worked flawlessly for me, I ordered 2 5qt Jugs and sent the receipt of order from Amazon before it shipped I sent 2 separate screen shot photos to show the full purchase and I chose an Amazon gift card 2 weeks later after I received my confirmation email. My request did not show when I searched the penzoil rebate status for a long while so I think they are lagging behind updates. But it worked very easily
