I have the dual stick version of this and added CoinOpsX with saUCE 5 and it's awesome. Reliving my youth playing X-men, Simpson arcade, TMNT, street fighter, afterburner, NARC and so many more. If you grew up in the 80s/90s and played arcade games, this is a must imo.
Fwiw, I got the two sticks for $100 and in retrospect I think I would have rather had 2 of these for $100 instead. It would work the same in the end but it's a little cramped with two adults at the two stick version where as with two single sticks you can spread out and have more room. The thing you'd miss out on though is the track ball.
just as an FYI - i have one of these with SaUCE 5. The emulation is ok, but there are some Neo-Geo games like NeoTurf Masters that has the audio stutter and also games like Green Beret where the audio isn't even in sync. The majority of the games run ok, but the puck that it comes with seems underpowered.

I've tried various USB drives and various versions of SaUCE but can't seem to get it performing that well. Could be my unit, but just wanted to share that feedback.

My work around is just using it as a standalone joystick with a RPI4 which offers better performance.

So i picked up 2 minis from sam's (same price) during their xmas sales.

Then I picked up the 2stick version for $100 from here the last time it went on sale, thinking "oh this'll be great and we can get 4 people together now"

wrong lol

2 people (me and my son) on the 2stick one is terrible, especially if you've got young kids who spazz about while playing games.

the only things you miss out by buying 2 minis is the trackball and pinball buttons on the side of the control deck

if you want multiplayer fun, just pick up a few $50 minis. i'm buying at least one more, maybe 2.

also need to think about a power usb hub if you are running multiple decks (either dual or mini)

They should make a stand that has the trackball, and you can insert the two sticks into. Like a modular setup.
They do for the pro

I can see from the ad the Genres of games but could someone name a few or provide an url that lists some or all of the games that are built-in with the device.

Thanks

I got the 2 player version at $100 and it was worth it. I just ordered the 1 player version especially at this price since I mostly play alone. $50 is a great price. Thanks OP!

If I have an rpi3 running retropi, other than the controller vs joystick, any reason to get this? Although rpi3 is very laggy and unplayable anything more powerful than 16 bit games

I have the Minis and ordered the Pro when it came back in stock.
If you can live without the trackball, get the two Minis instead. Both are awesome sets once you install CoinopsX.
Can you please tell me more about CoinopsX before I buy this?

Turf masters is a great game. Too bad that one has issues.
