So the foil heats up the water. Could I just put my own hot water in here and then add cold water to even out the temp or would that melt the bag?

5 gallon bucket.
Place in sunny spot.
Fill with clean water.
Cover with lid.
2 to 3 hours later you have hot water.
My almost free weekend shower in the back yard.

I got a similar one of these off Amazon a few years ago--they still sell the one I have, it's $11 now.

It actually works very well for something so cheap. Just be smart about where you set it up, or you could end up with a muddy campsite.

Had a similar shower about 10 years ago, but in black. Fill the bag before a morning hike, come back to hot shower after along day of hiking. Hardest part was lifting lifting the heavy bag up on a tree branch.
