Does anyone know if it works on egift cards? Normally these sorts of deals work on physical cards but not egift cards.

I do egift cards all the time when this offer pops up. Every single time I have gotten the credit...
Simply cash amex card .. mine is the $25 back on $100..
Also have $15 back on $100 for Happy gift card purchase

I feel your pain. I got the Platinum card mainly because I figured it would get all the good offers but so far it has been a bust.

Yup, i got the card for the 125K bonus points, free Walmart + , $200 Uber eat , $400 Airline credit on first year.. will close the card in a couple months , it was a nice run with this card... time for capital one x venture Smilie
